he was good or at least I think could have been good for us

he just realized he was going to be stuck behind Alex Ross for 3 years leaving him 1 year to start and he left

That's what I figured. Looks to have a lot of talent. I would guess he is penciled in as our started.

I think Tealblood's comment is correct. He was in a 3-way battle to get the QB position when CCU's previous starter graduated, but lost out to Alex Ross. Ross flourished, and didn't give the others a sniff at the job. After that he tried converting to WR to get playing time at CCU, but was stuck behind some truly gifted receivers.

EDIT: I remember our coaches were impressed with him physically, and thought he would succeed at the switch to WR. I think he just couldn't break into the top 2 as fast as he wanted.

He's gone and we replaced him with a coach that has taken us farther and gotten us more positive national exposure than he ever did.

Awesome! Did you buy him a new screen door before he left? I mean come on! He at least deserved that much before you canned him! My sister in law teaches at CCU..I hear all about your success everytime we speak! xlolx

As of 2013, AD and Head Coach at River Bluff HS in Lexington, SC.

I still can't believe people were shocked when he was let go. How many times do you think the President and Board of Trustees were asked about that video? That isn't exactly how you want your university to be represented.

I can't believe this is real...... certainly an upgrade with the current coach. His professionalism/composure/public speaking is beyond reproach.

CCU fans don't be offended! My Bears have videos I'm not proud of too. So do APP fans and so do SFA fans etc... It's the off-season..xthumbsupx

I'm not offended, I'm mostly just surprised that y'all can't find better smack talk. Every thread that pops up about CCU, it's one of these four lines of smack over and over again:

"Your coach from four years ago was pretty stupid/made a stupid video that one time!"

"Your school is close to Myrtle Beach, that's where the rednecks go on vacation!"

"Your mascot looks like it has balls on its chin!"

"You're getting colored turf, that's gonna look awful!"
