Southern will open the 2017 football season against Texas-San Antonio in the Alamodome.
The announcement was made in a news release posted on UTSA’s website Tuesday. The game will be played Sept. 2, 2017.
The Roadrunners, coached by former University of Miami head coach Larry Coker, were 4-8 and 3-5 in Conference USA last season.
The Jaguars and the Roadrunners have never played in football.
