Are you sure those numbers aren't for something like Homecoming at Western Michigan?

Maybe this website gave me unrealistic expectations.

I wonder what they'd be if the Bison weren't in it.

I thought ISU had a nice contingent today considering a lot of Bison fans bought 3 year tickets.

Lot of empty seats in our area. Probably about 10 rows with maybe 50% seats taken.

If I was sitting by you, I'd find another open seat elsewhere too.

I thought they announced it was the second largest crowd at Frisco? Weird.

Are those numbers butts in the seats or tickets purchased?

I'd venture to say butts in the seats, because last years game was sold out, but there wasn't as many Bison fans that were able to make the trip due to adverse weather conditions.

I hope that it is butts in the seats. I don’t like the practice of tickets sold, it is really confusing/ misrepresenting.

It must be tickets sold. The stadium seats 20,500 and it wasn't full.

Yah, I think you are right. At least on TV it looked good. I was surprised by the number of redbird fans there, although it was still clear who had brought the most fans.

Redbirds did a great job of getting fans to the game. Hopefully ISUr builds on that for their home games.

I know that NDSU tailgating took off the year after the fans and administration saw what Montana was doing in 2003.

Success definately builds excitement for fan bases. I can definately see their attendance numbers going up for next year! The MVFC as a whole is getting quite a bit of exposure and that should easily equate to more interest in its members. Especially those in the top half.

I noticed, during the entire game, the ESPN camera's didn't show a full view of the left side of the stadium, as seen on TV. It was always the section with the ISUR fans, or closeups. Wonder what the reason was for that?

Probably because that's the stage end of the stadium. Toyota Stadium is build like a horseshoe with stage seating on the north end. That's where the bands were placed. Likely it was not nearly as good a shot as the other stadium views. Here's a view looking in that direction:

That makes sense, No sense in showing the stage. Did they put temp seating on that end? I cant really tell by the picture

I think just for the bands and other game personnel. I don't think there was any fan seating on the north end. There is some seating in the corners above the video boards.
