Yale’s new football leader played on two high school national championship squads and is the first captain from the state of Florida since 1966. Defensive back Cole Champion, who was announced as the 2015 Yale football captain at tonight’s team banquet, became a starter as a freshman and is now Yale’s active career leader in tackles and interceptions.
