Good point, forgot about that game. Going to change that...But I think Liberty might outbid JMU.

We all know it's going to happen but it does not mean we have to like it: THE MEAC WILL GET THAT SECOND TEAM IN, and it will be a travesty. Morgan State in the playoffs is a fricken joke.

That said, I would not want to face JMU right now; they may be the hottest team going into the playoffs.

No the travesty was giving the PFL a bid and expanding the playoffs from 20 to 24.

20 was the perfect number and the teams I am having to fill the last part of my bracket with is a testament to that.

This

If San Diego went bye bye, we wouldn't need to fill the 24th team nobody can decide on, settle for SFA and we could have a really good discussion over who team 20 is, probably centering around a Richmond vs. Montana State debate?

Hell, arguments could also be made for Yale and Dartmouth. Harvard would be a seed possibility IMO if the Ivies participated in the playoffs.

Fordham does not deserve a seed. They had a chance today against a better than some think Army team but came up short. Plus, I don't think the NCAA wants them hosting one, potentially two games, at JCF....

I don't really see what Chatty has done to deserve a seed either except for being in the SoCon. Frankly it's very difficult to figure out a deserving 7-8 seed. One will likely be CCU, but the final one? Anyone's guess, IMO.

JMU might be the other team in consideration. It's possible they switch JMU and Fordham in my bracket, but that would mean ignoring the rankings altogether.

This is where politics might come in. I think JMU deserves a seed personally (factoring in revenue too) but that would mean 3 seeds for the CAA. How about the MVFC gets 5 in but the CAA gets 3 seeds?

Fordham's loss to Nova really kills their seed chances, Army was their shot to make a statement and it didn't happen. I think the last seed could be anyone of Chatty, SELA, JMU and UNI.

Fordham doesn't deserve a seed, period. They had two chances to prove they did deserve one and lost both games. What's their biggest feather in the cap? Bucknell on the road, not buying FU.

I'm leaning towards Chatty with their only FCS loss being to Jacksonville State who's a lock for a seed.

I'll take Chatty as annoying as that one poster on here is, they've earned it. The SoCon is down but I don't think it's as bad as many of us think. JMU and UNI are close but just too many losses IMO.

The same argument could be said for Chattanooga. What is the biggest feather in their cap? Samford at home...

I think it's a bit much to say that Fordham HAD to beat Army in order to DESERVE a seed. They led most of the first half and played an FBS team fairly tough, and are a 10-2 team with a weak schedule. If they don't get the 7 or 8 seed, it's much more likely due to their loss to Villanova.

Some years 10-2 isn't enough for a seed, but again, that final spot isn't exactly easy. The committee could go with almost anyone, even possibly 7-4 UNI.

If Bucknell takes care of Colgate today I believe they're in at 9-2 given what happened. Had the Bison won, Fordham would have a very good win. As it is, they're left with nothing more than a good Top 40 road win....

Fordham just doesn't have the resume imo for a seed. Plus, Nebrich has battled injuries all year. The Rams never really put their foot down. They had to put together a tremendous drive just to force OT against Bucknell. I know you said this might be a once in a generation Fordham team a few weeks ago but it's not. I'm not sure if it's as good as the '02-'03 teams.....Scholarships are a funny thing....

Neither school has a quality win to hang it's hat on...but looking at just about any computer ranking you like (or the average of them all together in the Massey Composite) Chattanooga's conference schedule is incrementally tougher than Fordham's.

That, and you could take Chattanooga's losses to Central Michigan, Jacksonville State and Tennessee and add up the total of the 3 and it would still be less than Fordham lost to Villanova alone.

You're not factoring in potential corporate/big donor support ... it's not just the size of stadium that generates a bid.

No five loss team is getting in, sorry Indiana State. The Trees eliminated themselves with a bad loss on the final weekend. Here is my College Sports Journal take.

SFA at Montana State vs 1. NDSU
San Diego at SHSU vs 8. Chattanooga

EKU at UNI vs 5. Jacksonville State
Idaho State at SELA vs 4. Illinois State

Sacred Heart at Richmond vs 6. NOVA
SDSU at Montana vs 3. EWU

Morgan State at Fordham vs 2. UNH

I wold personally have Villanova as a higher seed (No. 3 with Eastern Washington at No. 4, Illinois State at No. 5 and Jacksonville State at No. 6) and believe North Dakota State and Villanova will face each other for the national title.

I do not see B-CU in ahead of Idaho State.

I also believe Liberty, JMU and Richmond will be hosting games next Saturday.

I don't think SLU will outbid SDSU.....we tend to get Sanford/Dykhous money for these types of things.....SDSU's bid will be strong

This is where politics might come in. I think JMU deserves a seed personally (factoring in revenue too) but that would mean 3 seeds for the CAA. How about the MVFC gets 5 in but the CAA gets 3 seeds?

Neither is deserving. The committee will take of the east coast..:D

EWU

JMU at Liberty vs 7. CCU

Was kind of thinking people had 'Nova a little low as well.

I like the looks with Both JMU and LU getting home games. I think they are both great facilities and I think that happens.

Fordham's loss to Nova really kills their seed chances, Army was their shot to make a statement and it didn't happen. I think the last seed could be anyone of Chatty, SELA, JMU and UNI.

Fordham Chatty is a toss up imo I would pick Chatty but I disagree with SELA, JMU or UNI all three had a chance to win their conference and came up short. Fordham and Chatty won theirs, win/loss, position in conference and SOS should all be taken into consideration for a seed.

No way a 5 loss team gets in but you think a 6 DI win Idaho State gets in?

4 CAA teams on the same side of the bracket?

I don't really see what Chatty has done to deserve a seed either except for being in the SoCon. Frankly it's very difficult to figure out a deserving 7-8 seed. One will likely be CCU, but the final one? Anyone's guess, IMO.

JMU might be the other team in consideration. It's possible they switch JMU and Fordham in my bracket, but that would mean ignoring the rankings altogether.

Please name all the teams with victories over schools with good wins outside of their conference.
Ill do JSU, SEMO (who isn't considered a good win) has a win over SELA and EKU with a win over a bad FBS team.

This is my feeling. Indiana State has better wins, too.

We would never be able to outbid Montana, Montana state, or UNI. I think we get a home game vs SDSU or SELA.

Well they got it right with the MEAC.

Missed just one team but I am happy with that. Bethune not getting in restores some of my faith in the committee.

We didn't deserve to get in. We limped down the stretch and had three opportunities on national TV to demonstrate to the committee that we deserved to get in. Also, as true Wildcats, we are tired of just making it to the field to lose in the first round. For a rebuilding year, we have to accept that we were not ready this year. Good luck to everyone in the playoffs. We have some work to do our end.

Southeastern were co champs with SAM. These two didn't play each other in regular season so they had to split it.
