It would be funny if it weren't so sad

After seeing TSN, I wouldn't believe it possible, but this is worse. JMU is not even close to the top 25; 36th??

Proving coaches have less free time than sports writers and much less time than AGS voters

mathmatically it looks like this:
free time AGS>TSN voters>coaches
i assume this is true
caring about being correct AGS>TSN voters>coaches

Pretty much only Richmond got bumped for their win. If you look at the rest, its all slot voting with the losses (e.g. Bryant moved up 3 spots because SDSU, SFA & W&M all loss ahead of them). P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C

These polls are all about name recognition, what conference you are in, etc... once you get past the top 10 or 12 teams.

These polls are all about name recognition, what conference you are in, etc... once you get past the top 10 or 12 teams.

That doesn't account for a program like Liberty dropping out and Bryant staying in, nor does it make full sense that W&M is still ranked while JMU only has 3 votes. If they looked to see who W&M lost to, you would think they would then bump JMU in with a 6-3 record.

Glad Bryant is building some name ID, but it is a bad poll.

I know you didn't say it was good.

That's the thing that's apparent - they don't look. Those that noticed that UR beat VU probably put UR ahead in their polls, but not enough of them to overcome those that just moved the 7-2 teams to coincide with the previous week's rankings.

How is Illinois state behind multiple two and three loss teams?
