CAA Standings:
1. #2 New Hampshire (7-1, 5-0 CAA)
T2. #5 Richmond (7-2, 4-1 CAA)
T2. #6 Villanova (7-2, 4-1 CAA)
T4. #23 James Madison (6-3, 3-2 CAA)
T4. Delaware (5-4, 3-2 CAA)
T4. Stony Brook (4-5, 3-2 CAA)
T7. Albany (6-3, 2-3 CAA)
T7. William & Mary (5-4, 2-3 CAA)
T7. Towson (4-5, 2-3 CAA)
T7. Maine (3-5, 2-3 CAA)
T11. Elon (1-8, 0-5 CAA)
T11. Rhode Island (0-9, 0-5 CAA)

Saturday, November 8
#2 New Hampshire @ Rhode Island - 12:30 PM - Rhody Vision ($)
#5 Richmond @ Maine - 12:30 PM - Fox College Sports
#23 James Madison @ Stony Brook - 1 PM - Seawolves TV
Elon @ William & Mary - 3:30 PM - CSN-MA+, TCN-P, SNY, CSN-H, CSN-BA
Delaware @ Albany - 3:30 PM - Dane Zone ($)
Towson @ #6 Villanova - 7 PM - ASN, SNY

Note: With win and loss by Richmond AND Villanova, New Hampshire would clinch share (at least) of CAA Championship. I think if both James Madison AND Delaware lose (in addition to the prior events), New Hampshire would clinch Auto Bid, but I have been wrong before.

My Picks:
New Hampshire @ Rhode Island - Cats can't afford to slip up this one, could be ugly fast
Richmond @ Maine - Figuring Spiders will look better than they did today, which is enough on its own to outpace Bears
James Madison @ Stony Brook - I feel like JMU is due to lose this one, after having momentum off a good win
Elon @ William & Mary - Phoenix almost got a win at Towson, but Tribe > Tigers
Delaware @ Albany - Hens win in Harrisonburg seems like so long ago, start another slide into the offseason
Towson @ Villanova - Wildcats are angry, take it out on Tigers

Lots of love for JMU. Funny, but predictable.

Now sporting a record of 6-3 (6-2 against FCS teams) with two wins over top 25 teams, but who wants to wager JMU still doesn't crack the top 25 this week?

Depends on the Top 25 list. Not in the Coaches' Poll, but I think they'll crack the The Sports Network at 24 or 25. Not sure about the AGS poll. JMU has two tough away games the next couple weeks, Stony Brook and Richmond, so they will probably not stay ranked long.

UNH v. URI - Don't even mention trap game!
Richmond v. Maine - Richmond is on a roll and Maine has no offense.
JMU v. Stony Brook - A Stony Brook win would help UNH's strength of schedule, but JMU is playing well.
Elon v. William & Mary - W&M needs this win at home.
Delaware v. Albany - Albany at home coming of the loss in Durham.
Towson - Villanova - Nova going away!

New Hampshire 38, Rhode Island 14 - I could see a slow start for New Hampshire in this game, but I think their offense explodes at some point in this game.
Richmond 20, Maine 14 - This game has letdown written all over it, but I think the Richmond defense will contain Maine enough to prevent the upset.
Stony Brook 21, James Madison 17 - I feel like a letdown might be coming from JMU. After a hard physical game against William & Mary they have to play a Stony Brook team that is fresh and coming off a bye. I do think if JMU scores above 20 points they will win, but that is going to be tough in this game.
William & Mary 21, Elon 10 - I think William & Mary struggles in this game, but their defense will shut down Elon. I think having Elon score 10 might be too high.
Albany 28, Delaware 24 - I think Albany is capable of beating just about anyone in this conference at home, and will beat the Hens there this weekend.
Villanova 35, Towson 14 - I consider this an optimistic view of what I think the final score will be. Villanova will be out for blood, and even when the Tigers have been good stop John Robertson has been no picnic.

UNH over URI. URI is just plain bad. UR played poorly and still beat then 37-0.
UR over Maine. I have visions of Admiral Akbar yelling "It's a Trap!" - a little scary that it's unanimous right now - it is Maine in November, after all.
SB over JMU. Good defense beats good offense?
W&M over Elon. The move to the CAA has not been good to Elon.
Albany over UD. Albany just keeps winning the games it's supposed to win, and losing the ones it's supposed to lose.
Villanova over Towson. The Wildcats will bounce back angry about being shut down by the Spiders defense.

Interesting that UR QB Michael Strauss recently tweeted "I'm back baby". I can't imagine he will play in the Maine game, but could he back for the JMU and W&M games? UR's defense has stepped it up as of late, but if Strauss came back and was as effective as he played prior to the injury, UR could be scary good..

Just read an article about this. I thought Strauss was the best QB we faced, by far. Watch out for Richmond in the post season if he is able to get back on the field and 100%.

5th team this season that JMU faces after that team had its BYE week. Crazy! This has trap game written all over it, but I am hoping that Vad & Co. can find a way to score 3 TDs for the win. I don't think it will take much more than 21 points to beat SB, but the team will have to produce and not come out flat. Game of the week in the CAA for sure.

#2 New Hampshire @ Rhode Island - I think HC Fleming will turn the program into a respectable CAA program. Just not this year. UNH names the score. 56-7
#5 Richmond @ Maine - Spiders over Bears 24-6
#23 James Madison @ Stony Brook - The Seawolves defense trumps Dukes offense 21-17.
Elon @ William & Mary - Tribe roll 35-13.
Delaware @ Albany - Gattuso's defense gets it done 20-13.
Towson @ #6 Villanova - Robertson gets back on track 34-17

#2 New Hampshire @ Rhode Island - Poor Rhody.

#5 Richmond @ Maine - With Maine's ineptitude on offense, and with the way Richmond's D is playing right now, I can't see Maine moving the ball and scoring much at all. This should be another re-run where Maine's D is on the field way too long, and eventually breaks down as the Spiders pull away in the 2nd half.

#23 James Madison @ Stony Brook - I like SBU off the bye, and at home, to end JMU's playoff aspirations. In all JMU's wins (other than the Towson Debacle), they have had to outscore people. Stony Brook should have beaten UNH, and really held their offense in check. JMU is not UNH. I don't think they get to 28 here, and I think SBU scores just enough to win.

Elon @ William & Mary - Elon is just not ready to compete yet. Tribe rolls.

Delaware @ Albany - The Chickens are sputtering right now, and while Albany isn't exactly lighting the world on fire, I like their defense at home as the weather turns cold.

Towson @ #6 Villanova - This one might hurt. A lot.
