Should be a great game depending on which Sam team shows up. The loser will mostly likely be out of the SLC race and therefore out of the playoff picture. Eat'em Up Kats!!!!

What kind of attendance does this game typically get? I'll be visiting my brother in Houston and noticed this game will be played at NRG Stadium. If my brother and I do go to a college football game that day it will probably be Louisiana-Monroe/Texas A&M, but I wanted to find out a little more about this game.

I do know from looking at the NRG Stadium website that it looks like only lower bowl seats are sold for this game.

We battled!

Now you battle in the "big city" with no piney woods around. ;)

The Battle of the Piney Woods is a fantastic clash. It's ALMOST perfect.....

The only way it could be better is if BOTH teams could lose! ;)

Is attendance growing or staying about the same?

It's grown each year

Capacity of the game is the lower bowl section of Reliant which is 26,000.

But the record is 26,213 for this game set last year.

SLC attendance record is 27,500 set back in 1976 in Lake Charles (McNeese State and Louisiana-Lafayette)

Hope to break that some day.

Will there be beer sales inside NRG during the game? Very important...

16 oz aluminum bottles. I'll be on the sidelines so I won't get to enjoy any or the $1 hotdogs.

I go every year with my best friend who is an SFA grad. Smack talk and awesome tailgating. Worried about this year though. SFA has always had talent, but had lousy coaching to offset. Conque is a really good coach, so this should be fun to watch.

If I stay in my seat and don't go to a suite I'll dangle a hot dog over the wall for you. I'm down in 119 row A.

This will be an interesting game, I think the lower bowl holds something like 26,500 and at that point they will open the 2nd level if the support is their and the game keeps growing. Tailgating atmosphere is fun, Kat Daddy Tailgaters is best around, The Rev can attest to that.

KDT is the best and I'm not just saying that because the founder is family to me

I'm not sure I'll venture over to THAT side but depending on hungry I am I may just do that. Collins may need my help so it may be halftime before I venture around.

And all we heard after those two games against SHSU last year is how rude and "vile" Southeastern fans are! This just shows that that was a two way street haha.

Back from the game, another record crowd 26,800.

Going to break the record next year.

Congrates to the victors, as your QB reminded SFA that our defense still has a ways to go.

Your team seems to have ridden the storm and has things going in the right direction.

On to Lake Charles!
