NEC has two top-25 teams, is that a first for the NEC?

Am I the only one that thinks Presbyterian should be higher? They are 4-3 with losses to NIU, NC State, and Coastal Carolina. They've beaten then #12 Furman, WCU (who leads the SoCon), and top 25 Charleston Southern.

Do you think that UNI is pre-selected on their ballots?

Guess those two D2 games are still keeping us out of the top 25. Unreal. GO CATS!

Nope, I think both us and PC deserve to be in the top 25. UNI with FOUR losses and ranked?

Different voters have different criteria for voting. And that's a good thing. Keeps AGS honest with a variety of opinions and people not afraid to share them.

Some people vote for the teams they feel are the best teams, regardless of win/loss record. Not saying this is necessarily the case with UNI this year, but considering their competition and how they have fared, it is conceivable that there are teams with far better W/L records that UNI would curb stomp.

Is the poll supposed to be about the "best" 25 teams in the country? (i.e. Would #1-5 generally beat #6-10 in head to head matchups?) Only the best that have a shot at the playoffs? Those with the best records, regardless of SoS? Some other factors? Some balance of multiple factors?

EDIT: Oops... This is a discussion of the Coaches' poll. Well, you can pretty much throw it out the window. It is garbage.
