I mean come on, after Mercer's big win over Maria Avenue this weekend the conference has a perfect record versus Non DI.
The SoCon beat the likes of Stillman, Catawba, Brevard, North Greenville...everyone knows that Reinhardt would make the FCS playoffs (and would probably host) and Mercer handled them!
I guess you could argue that schools since VMI, Furman, The Citadel and Chattanooga play all DI, that they are too chicken to take on a Non DI's, but overall, half the conference has really stepped...Wofford, Samford, Western...they all got two...Mercer is even ballsier by taking on 3.
I was really bummed that Chattanooga tried to get Glenville State back on the schedule but they dumped us for a chance to play Notre Dame (that would be Notre Dame College of Euclid, OH). Instead, the Mocs ended up with Jacksonville State, what a let down.
I am sure there will be some close calls, but I feel confident that the SoCon is going to keep the record perfect this year.
Maybe then we'll get some respect from this board.
