Better keep your eyes on this one. Should be a whale of a game! Matchup of the century! ;-)

I motion to include Davidson on this list....that "victory" over the College of Faith...knowing what we know (or maybe don't know?) about that opponent really brings that "W" into question.

EKU lost (at TTU)

and Austin Peay won (vs Murray State)

EDIT: APSU breaks an 18-game losing streak.

October 20th, 2014, 04:52 PM
Week 8 had some chaos for the list, and we are down to 11 teams. All 11 are in action for Week 9, and while it looks like there won't be an upset up top, there are a few games prime for upsets by the bottom teams (Nicholls, Davidson, and maybe URI).

Undefeated (4):
#5 Coastal Carolina (7-0, 1-0 Big South) v. Charleston Southern (10/25)
#1 North Dakota State (7-0, 3-0 MVFC) @ South Dakota (10/25)
#6 Illinois State (6-0, 3-0 MVFC) v. #24 Missouri State (10/25)
#22 Harvard (5-0, 2-0 Ivy) @ Princeton (10/25)

Fully Defeated (6+1):
Nicholls State (0-8, 0-4 SLC) @ Houston Baptist (10/25)
Weber State (0-7, 0-3 Big Sky) v. Portland State (10/25)
Rhode Island (0-7, 0-3 CAA) v. Maine (10/25)
Savannah State (0-7, 0-4 MEAC) @ North Carolina Central (10/25)
Columbia (0-5, 0-2 Ivy) v. Dartmouth (10/25)
Cornell (0-5, 0-2 Ivy) @ Brown (10/25)

No change to the perfection membership this week, and almost everyone returns to action for Week 10 (Davidson is off). I think if Nicholls doesn't win this one, they will last the entire season on the list.

Undefeated (4):
#5 Coastal Carolina (8-0, 2-0 Big South) @ Gardner-Webb (11/1)
#1 North Dakota State (8-0, 4-0 MVFC) v. #11 South Dakota State (11/1)
#6 Illinois State (7-0, 4-0 MVFC) @ Northern Iowa (11/1)
#22 Harvard (6-0, 3-0 Ivy) @ Dartmouth (11/1)

Fully Defeated (6+1):
Nicholls State (0-9, 0-5 SLC) v. Incarnate Word (11/1)
Weber State (0-8, 0-4 Big Sky) v. Northern Arizona (11/1)
Rhode Island (0-8, 0-4 CAA) @ Delaware (11/1)
Savannah State (0-8, 0-5 MEAC) @ South Carolina State (11/1)
Columbia (0-6, 0-3 Ivy) v. Yale (11/1)
Cornell (0-6, 0-3 Ivy) v. Princeton (11/1)

Week 10 forced us to say goodbye to Illinois State. 9 teams are in play in Week 11, with the most likely to drop being NDSU (from the top) and maybe Weber State. There also seems to be a few massive mismatches this week, such as Columbia @ Harvard and UNH @ URI.

Undefeated (3):
#5 Coastal Carolina (9-0, 3-0 Big South) @ Charlotte (11/8)
#1 North Dakota State (9-0, 5-0 MVFC) @ #23 Northern Iowa (11/8)
#22 Harvard (7-0, 4-0 Ivy) v. Columbia (11/8)

Fully Defeated (6+1):
Nicholls State (0-10, 0-6 SLC) @ Northwestern State (11/15)
Weber State (0-9, 0-5 Big Sky) @ North Dakota (11/8)
Rhode Island (0-9, 0-5 CAA) v. #3 New Hampshire (11/8)
Savannah State (0-9, 0-6 MEAC) v. Howard (11/8)
Columbia (0-7, 0-4 Ivy) @ #22 Harvard (11/8)
Cornell (0-7, 0-4 Ivy) v. Dartmouth (11/8)

We dropped two teams in Week 11, leaving just 8 in the running. All 8 are in action in Week 12, and there is a guarantee to have at least one team drop from the list.

Undefeated (2):
#3 Coastal Carolina (10-0, 3-0 Big South) v. Monmouth (11/15)
#18 Harvard (8-0, 5-0 Ivy) @ Pennsylvania (11/15)

Fully Defeated (5+1):
Nicholls State (0-10, 0-6 SLC) @ Northwestern State (11/15)
Rhode Island (0-10, 0-6 CAA) @ Stony Brook (11/15)
Savannah State (0-10, 0-6 MEAC) v. North Carolina A&T (11/15)
Columbia (0-8, 0-5 Ivy) v. Cornell (11/15)
Cornell (0-8, 0-5 Ivy) @ Columbia (11/15)

Cornell went away, and all 7 teams are in action in Week 13. Both unbeaten teams are playing for their conference titles, while it looks like Rhode Island and Davidson would be in the best spots to get a win finally.

Undefeated (2):
#3 Coastal Carolina (11-0, 4-0 Big South) v. Liberty (11/22)
#17 Harvard (9-0, 6-0 Ivy) v. Yale (11/22)

Fully Defeated (4+1):
Nicholls State (0-11, 0-7 SLC) v. #11 Southeastern Louisiana (11/20)
Rhode Island (0-11, 0-7 CAA) v. Towson (11/22)
Savannah State (0-11, 0-8 MEAC) @ Brigham Young (11/22)

Look, NoDak, I'm on record here as wanting Ivy participation in the FB playoffs. I was really trolling in this thread for a couple of my AGS Chanticleer pals. If you want to leave Ivy teams out of your polls because they don't participate, that's your decision and I'm fine with it. Just don't be so snarky all the time. Good luck to the Bison the rest of the way. They may get another NC themselves.

I'm not talking about playoffs, I'm talking about the insular nature of your scheduling (and by default, CCU's as well). The perfection list would be a lot longer with more Penn's and Monmouth's on team's schedules.

Hah - thanks. I wasn't condemning your comments - just the Chants and the weak ass schedule vs all things greatness in the MVFC, Big Sky, CAA ... yadda yadda. Just not worth my time. I'm happy to have civil discussions (most of the time) but the internet tough guy arguments get tiring.
