I love how the B1G commentators are bragging on Purdue's defense. Every turnover was not forced . One was a luck tip drill when the SIU player tipped the ball up and the second was a self inflicted fumble. Then SIU misses a field goal and the kicker wasn't rushed. However the B1G commentators brag about Purdue. What a joke.

Good game in Fairfield CT. Bucknell with a couple of big plays to lead SHU 14-13.

Way too many missed opportunities for the SHU offense. Lived on Bucknell's side of the field for 3/4 of the first half with little to show for it. 3rd and 1 on the 35 where we are shoving it down their throat, bring in heavy set blockers and instead of pounding it behind them for the 1st we try to run a counter play and lose 2.

Bucknell with 163 yards at half, 103 of them on 2 plays.

Well, WIU probably doesn't have the ammunition on offense to come back and beat Northwestern (down 21-7 going into the 4th), but their defense has impressed me with how sound they play. I think they'll be in a lot of games during the conference season, but have a feeling there will be a lot of close losses as well.

Big Green played a good game. CCSU had too many mistakes and the passing game still isn't clicking. Like the HC game the Blue Devils moved the ball nicely. This could have went they other way in our favor - but it didn't. CCSU comes up short in the RZ too many times.

Hey Purdue's coach is fighting for his job--he's trying to make the win against an FCS look better to his bosses---I as a Saluki fan understand. SIU was outgained by about 50 yards for the game but you can't give up 17 points on TO's. Now it's on to two at home in the Valley

Won't surprise me if SEMO wins the OVC, they were better than the score indicated last week. Like SIU today they got in a hole from TOs early last week and couldn't dig out.
