Albany - By 17 over URI
Boston College - Game is over before the 2nd quarter
Richmond - 45 to 42

I would like to see a win out West next week but our offense is anemic . We are also dealing with a 2 QB rotation that doesn't work anywhere college or pros. So we will see ?

Villanova - By a lot
Albany - URI is still URI
BC - Love to see Maine pull the upset, but just don't see it happening
UNH - Richmond has put up some go offensive numbers, but they were against Morehead State & Hampton, UNH in a close one
Towson - This could be a close one
William & Mary - Tough defensive gives them the edge
Charlotte - Two 1-2 teams, could go either way
North Dakota - Wins at home

Spiders took their foot off the pedal at end of 1st half in both Morehead and Hampton games.Played 2's and 3's in 2nd halves. For UVa game,Spiders won all the statistics easily including turnovers-seven,which led to 28 easy Cav points.Look forward to Wildcats visiting UR.Maybe we can duplicate the out-of-bounds catch call which was called on our last drive in Durham 2 years ago in a 44-40 UNH "win".

James Madison @ Villanova - I concur with a few others, I could see JMU getting blown out here, something like 45-20, Villanova.

Albany @ Rhode Island - After looking at their schedule, Albany could be 4-0 before hosting JMU week 5. Go .500 in CAA play thereafter and 8-4, with all 8 D1 wins, is a solid resume, albeit on the bubble. I don't think it will happen, but it speaks to the muddle in the middle of the CAA right now that I could see Albany potentially making a run at the playoffs.

Maine @ Boston College - After picking against them in 2 CAA games, Bryant is better than I thought (at least their defense is), but BC is a whole 'nother ball of wax. There will be no big-time UMaine FBS upset this year.

New Hampshire @ Richmond - This will be the first real measuring stick for the Spiders, but I like what I see so far. Expected them to compete for a CAA title this year and I think they will.

North Carolina Central @ Towson - Need to enter CAA play at .500, and I think we will.

Lafayette @ William & Mary - I have to say, my pre-season pick for CAA champion has been underwhelming on offense. That defense, though.

Charlotte @ Elon - Call it a hunch, but Charlotte hasn't played anybody yet. Elon by a field goal at home.

Stony Brook @ North Dakota - What a difference a few weeks make. That season-opening loss to Bryant maybe isn't as bad as first thought, and the Seawolves' other loss was by a field goal to an FBS team. The offense is still grossly underperforming, but I believe they'll even their record here.

Really tough ones on URI and Richmond as I believe both could pull the upset (UNH always seems to have a clunker game thrown in with 5 TO's and lose 41-38; same with URI looking to turn the corner with 1 game). If only JMU showed something to make me believe this weekend. Maybe another time ending hail mary? Can't a guy dream?

Villanova - Back and forth game that Villanova wins because they have more firepower (Nova 41, JMU 31)
Albany - Albany seems to have won the round-robin tournament against Holy Cross and CCSU. It still disturbs me that a week after Towson lost to CCSU Albany blanked them. However, Albany will be a tough out this year. (Albany 24, Rhode Island 10)
Boston College - My brain said Maine, but the gut told me to pick Bryant last week. No such issue this week. I bet BC has a big letdown after beating USC and this is closer than people think, but they will win this game. (Boston College 28, Maine 14)
New Hampshire - Tough road game for UNH, but I think there offense will show up for this one and push them past Richmond in a tight one (UNH 30, Richmond 27)
Towson - Based on what I have seen this year, I think NC Central is a good pick here, but I can't bring myself to pick them against the alma mater (I will start that trend when conference play begins). (Towson 20, NC Central 17)
William & Mary - William & Mary stifles the Leopards. (William & Mary 24, Lafayette 10)
Charlotte - I learned my lesson picking Elon to beat NC A&T last week against my better judgement. Charlotte stretched its lead out pretty far against NC Central last week, before letting the foot off the gas. (Charlotte 31, Elon 20)
North Dakota - Tough road matchup for Stony Brook. North Dakota looked awful last week, and Stony Brook has been tough against whoever they have played so far. I think Coker has a big game, but UND wins late. (North Dakota 27, Stony Brook 24).

Rather surprised Albany on the road is getting so much love versus the Rams. Albany has a few nice W's so far but nothing earth shattering and were not suppose to sniff the playoffs. Has something changed for most people? Or are we really going off of 'pick against URI every chance you get'?

Albany's D is playing lights out! Their O is coming around and they are again, very well coached by Greg Gattuso who has clearly demonstrated he is a winner. IMHO outside of Richmond, Villanova and New Hampshire on UA's schedule every other game is winnable. We shall see.

James Madison @ #3 Villanova - After their blowout win against Fordham, I'm not gonna bet against Nova.

Albany @ Rhode Island - Rhody's Josh Moody blocked a FG, a PAT, and forced a turnover last year to win the game for RI. But he ain't on their roster anymore xthumbsupx

Maine @ Boston College - They beat USC

#5 New Hampshire @ #14 Richmond - Call it a gut feeling

North Carolina Central @ Towson - Easy victory

Charlotte @ Elon - 7 PM

Stony Brook @ North Dakota - Bryant is legit, don't discount the Seawolves now.

I'm a little surprised noone took Lafayette. They won in Williamsburg a couple of years ago and are a defending conference champion (yes I know they had a losing record). Plus, while the scores have looked fairly solid, a closer look at the numbers shows that the Tribe has not exactly been dominant against Hampton and Norfolk State.

This games makes me nervous with the CAA slate looming.

The NSU Spartans defense has been outstanding this season. Turnovers by the offense and special teams errors left & right are hampering them, but their defense has looked very good out of conference.

I feel bad for Stony Brook's defense, towards the end of the 3rd Qtr and espn shows North Dakota only has four first downs and less than 150 yards of offense. Good effort wasted as the SBU offense can't muster more than a fg.

OMG! On top of the **** offense, SBU's gargbage qb threw a pick six at the UND 2 yardline. Sad.
