Fordham 31, Rhode Island 10 - Can't believe the thorough beating Nova put on Fordham last week, they will bounce back this week.
Maine 17, Bryant 14 - This is one of those games the conference needs. Maine will pull out a close one, and will need this one later in the year if they are in the hunt for an at-large big.
Towson 21, Delaware State 14 - This is no gimme after what I have seen from my Tigers so far. I think just the taste of the win is needed for some of these young guys to make sure the season does not go real sour quickly.
New Hampshire 34, Lehigh 20 - Good win for James Madison last week against Lehigh, and New Hampshire should follow suit this week.
James Madison 28, St. Francis 14 - Probably a slight letdown coming off a solid road win, but James Madison will be happy to open the home schedule this week.
Elon 27, NC A&T 24 - NC A&T played Coastal to the wire (not sure what to make out of Coastal this year), and this one should be close as well.
Stony Brook 41, American International 7 - Ah yes, I remember American International from when Towson played them in my undergrad days. Stony Brook gets a feel good blowout win after a tough first two weeks.
Richmond 27, Hampton 10 - I am always worried about the game after the week when teams get beat up by FBS teams from a physical standpoint. Still, Richmond should bounce back with a strong effort here.
William & Mary 17, Norfolk State 3 - Norfolk State hung in there with Maine, but I don't see them doing much against William & Mary's vaunted defense.

Fordham - they can't be as bad as they looked last week
Maine - should be a good game
Towson - tough pick, but Delaware State is still Delaware State
UNH - UNH72Plus, 'nough said
JMU - wins at home
NC A&T - Forced 5 turnovers and lost 30-31 to #5 Coastal Carolina last week
W&M - wins big
Stony Brook - another home victory
Delaware - a toss up, but Delaware's at home
Richmond - is a cake walk

Rhode Island @ #9 Fordham - The Rams bounce back against the, uh, Rams. Surprisingly, Fordham may not be as good as they were last year, but they aren't as bad as they showed against 'Nova, either.
#22 Maine @ Bryant - The Black Bears play great defense, and Bryant's offense is awful. OTOH, Bryant's D is tough and scrappy, while Maine underwhelmed on offense against Norfolk St. In the end, Maine will score just enough to win - and all they may need is a field goal.
Towson @ Delaware State - The righting of the ship starts now.
Lehigh @ #6 New Hampshire - I really think Lehigh is capable of pulling the upset, but I don't think it happens up in Durham. UNH by 2 TDs.
St. Francis @ James Madison - St. Francis just doesn't have the talent to compete with the Dukes.
North Carolina A&T @ Elon - It took a late KO return TD for Coastal to beat NCA&T. Tough game to call but that's enough to sway me.
American International @ Stony Brook - The Seawolves notch a win after two near misses.
Colgate @ Delaware - The Hens win at home; I can't imagine a scenario where a middling Colgate team wins on the road in Newark.
Hampton @ #13 Richmond - Richmond rolls.
Norfolk State @ #18 William & Mary - Ditto the Tribe.

Maine and Delaware were a little tough, but I had to go with them. W&M might have a bit of a tough time if they can't get that offense going. Not a good matchup against Norfolk D. UNH should handle Lehigh, but it will be a test to see how good they are.

Not to clog up the picks thread, but I am a huge William & Mary supporter. That being said, Hampton shows absolutely nothing. Maine and Liberty got held to 10 and 17 against Norfolk St, and though their offenses aren't very special, they are at least as adequate as the Tribe's, probably better. This is the game that will prove if they can get it going.

Fordham 38 URI 27 - Fordham needs this one, I'm not convinced URI can't win this one....
Maine 17 Bryant 14 - Maine knows how to win ugly...
Towson 35 Delaware State 14 - The Hornets are the perfect rebound team...
JMU 42 Saint Francis 24 - The Dukes should improve as the year goes on...
North Carolina A&T 34 Elon 24 - The Aggies showed a lot last week against CCU...
Stony Brook 45 American International 21 - Is American International the same school, not Loyola-Marymount that led the college basketball in scoring in the late 1980's?
Delaware 30 Colgate 24 - two evenly matched teams, Colgate needs to prove they can beat a CAA team though...
Richmond 42 Hampton 14 - Richmond rolls along....
William & Mary 31 Norfolk State 13 - The Tribe too tough...
UNH 45 Lehigh 34 - Lehigh will score enough to make it interesting but I can't see them stopping Steriti and Harris enough to win...although I do believe LU can win...

Everything shows something. What I picked up from the win at Hampton last week:
1) Our running game looks strong
2) We put more points on the board against Hampton than "FBS" ODU did.
3) We held Hampton to fewer points than "FBS" ODU did.
4) Our defense remains pretty good at forcing turnovers
5) We have a QB that finally opens up a passing attack

I expect a competitive game though believe the Tribe will prevail, 23-6 ( or something like that).

Rhode Island @ Fordham – 1 PM – Haven’t we all seen the clips from “Wild Kingdom” when two rams repeatedly collide with each other on top of a mountain somewhere. Well, they’ll do it this weekend on top of a hill in the Bronx, NY and the weaker competitor will head back to Kingston, RI sore and beaten while the victors will stick around hoping to mate with the best looking females. Fordham 31 URI 16

Maine at Bryant – 1 PM - They seem to play this game every year now but noone has yet to pay attention. Maine 17 Bryant 13

Towson at Delaware State – 2 PM – In the past few seasons, I would have reflexively put this game down as a Towson rout, but the Tigers have been gutted by graduation and coach Ambrose is searching for leadership and personality with this year’s group. Still, the Tigers will look to take out some aggression after the disappointing loss to CCSU. Towson 34 Del State 17

Lehigh @ New Hampshire – 3:30 PM – Easily the game of the week, despite losing a little luster with Lehigh’s late loss to JMU on Saturday. This game was a thriller in eastern PA last season and the two schools usually play entertaining games when they hook up. UNH is still a little bit of an unknown coming off a surprisingly convincing defeat at the hands of Toledo followed by a bye week. We’re all used to giving the Wildcats the benefit of the doubt, however, and this year will be no different, at least at this early date. The home team still has too many veterans on offense, especially under center and at wide receiver, to drop an important game at home. UNH 31 LU 24

St. Francis (PA) @ JMU – 4 PM – I’m pretty sure Pope Francis has no idea this game is happening, but would he cheer for the visitors just a little bit? The Red Flash could use the help, but even a Papal Bull wouldn’t change the outcome in Harrisonburg. Dukes 30 Flash 10

North Carolina A&T @ Elon – 6 PM - A&T almost pulled off a huge upset against Coastal last week and will have to avoid a hangover from that disappointment. The Phoenix are a CAA newbie and a question mark for a lot of people. Losing a home OOC game to a MEAC team won't help. A&T 27 Elon 23

American International @ Stony Brook – 6 PM - I’ve always thought that AIU sounds like one of those fancy schools for the kids of ex-pats in places like Cairo or Singapore. Unfortunately for the football program, their results aren’t a heck of a lot better. Stony Brook 37 AIU 13

Colgate at Delaware – 6 PM – There’s no way to really get revenge for the beatdown in the 2003 National Championship game but the Raiders will at least come into Newark with the belief that they can get a win against a mediocre Blue Hen squad. Delaware got plucked and cleaned by Pittsburgh in week 1 and the storm-delayed outing against Delaware State wasn’t exactly a resounding effort either. Still, they don't lose many OOC games at home and I don't expect Colgate to change that. Delaware 24 Colgate 16

Hampton at Richmond – 6 PM – The Pirates showed flashes of quality against the Tribe last week, but if they ultimately lost by 28 at home to the Tribe, how good can the result be on the road against an equal, if not superior foe? Richmond will look to shrug off last week’s disappointing result against Virginia and get back on track before heading into the CAA schedule with a convincing win back in the capitol. Spiders 44 Pirates 13

Norfolk State @ William & Mary – The Spartans have tested themselves against two quality FCS opponents and while they fell to both Maine and Liberty, they have shown themselves to be awfully good, at least on the defensive side of the ball, ranking eighth nationally in total defense (233.5) and 15th in scoring defense (13.5). Unfortunately, the offense only conjured six points in the two games combined. Heading to Williamsburg against the highly regarded Tribe defense, things are unlikely to get better. The Tribe offense still has a number of question marks, but there should be more than enough firepower to complete the sweep of nearby opponents in the first game of the season at Zable Stadium. William & Mary 23 Norfolk State 13

There was a tie to bring up the rear this week, between Gangtackle11 and RichH2, each going 7/10. ElonFirefighter is currently in last overall with 7 points.
