Much as I want to see State get beat, I think they'll win this one.

ACU lost 80% of its offense--QB, RB, 3 leading wide receivers.

lots of returners on D and a couple of key transfers.

O has some talented skill position players.
Coaches are happy with the progress of the rebuilt O line.
D Line is deep and has potential to be dominant.
Secondary returns in tact.


GSU lost almost all its starters on offense, and for them that's a good thing.

GSU will rely heavily on juco replacements to fix its woeful offense and pathetic D. They went out and found some talent. Can they play as a team? We will see.

Vegas likes GSU by 4. I'm going with ACU by 3. Runnings backs go over 200 yards. Cats young QB hooks up with a speedy receiver to break at least one long play for a TD.

Temple and Georgia State are very similar. The biggest difference being Temple has a 20 year head start in its transformation from commuter to residential university. The type of student, in general, that attends a city school is not your rah-rah school spirit sports fanatic. Most people attend a city school to immerse themselves in things beyond the campus boundaries.

Temple has a strong following for basketball, because we've always won, but the football culture is still a major work in progress...

When your opponent only needs to get a field goal to win it, you don't play prevent and let the other team complete passes underneath the coverage. There's no way State should've converted that 4th and 19, either.
