To the article attached, player personality does matter, inasmuch as program personality matters.

Johnny Manziel was able to fit in at Texas A&M, but not without some bumps along the way. However, for example, he would have been a poor fit at West Point, regardless of talent.

I don't think it matters at all. Players will only do what they are allowed, and can get away with.

Texas A&M Johnny Manziel wouldn't have been the same as West Point Johnny Manziel personality-wise
