Welcome back ETSU and VMI (and welcome Mercer too)


And I am now counting the day that ETSU returns to football so Chattanooga can beat the living hell out of them. Yes, I have no problem watching a team put a beatdown on a team that will only be in their 2nd year back. ;)

The Mocs owe the Bucs massive payback for the last game in the series, a Rodney Allison helmed fiasco that ended in a 68-7 road loss of the (then) lowly Mocs.

I know you want payback for that last football game. We literally had half a team! Can't wait for the first trip down to the roundhouse in basketball this year.

I am glad the mini dome will not be the football facility. Didn't matter how good Furman was during certain years, we always seemed to find a way to suck in that place:o

And they'll play at a real high school stadium ... so maybe people will stop making fun of us.

Yes we will for a year or two, but we are building a new stadium so we won't have to deal with that for long.

To my ETSU friends is there still a restaurant called Scoby's in Kingsport? Had one of the best meals of my life there after a El Cid ETSU game there in the late 80's.

Welcome back to each school!

ETSU folks, I hope you bring some good crowds to the SoCon Basketball tournament the next several years. It's turning into a fun event.

Glad to have both schools back, but especially ETSU. If we have what is to be considered a real rival, ETSU is it. 23-21-2 all time in WCU's favor and who can forget such memorable WCU wins over the Bucs such as "Immaculate Reception II" 17-16 in Cullowhee in 1983, 33-23 in Cullowhee on a Thursday on ESPN in 1988 showcasing the Bob Waters legacy, 31-24 double OT win in 1998. Man, I love playing ETSU!
