it's worth remembering that the Power 5 aren't discussing a split in order to keep their dragon's hoard of TV money away from the UCF's of FBS; they're doing it in an attempt to share that money with the athletes that make it possible

Yeah, I'm sure that's their primary motivation. xrolleyesx

SEC = Robin Hood xlolx

My thoughts exactly. Better check the writer's pay stubs for SEC logos.

This.

This is one of the things I hate about blogging. It is now assumed that there is no brightline between reporting and editorializing. The purpose of the piece is to rip O'Leary from top to bottom. Rather than present something for discussion, he does the whole thing himself.

Guys, CBS has a contract to broadcast major SEC games all season. They have been in bed with the SEC for some time.

Here is a better blog entry: http://tracking.si.com/2014/06/05/ucf-george-oleary-sec-like-the-south-during-the-civil-war/

o'leary should check his resume.

The same could be said about the Patriots of the First American Revolution. The Dec of Independence is, after all, NOTHING but a secession ordinance.

O'Leary, and many of the rest of the G5, are socialists when it comes to the SEC's money, but don't want to share with FCS.

I imagine they don't want to share with DII or DIII teams, either.
