View Full Version : Help From SWAC, MEAC fans

I just finished reading Eddie Robinson's autobiography as part of an ongoing research project I'm doing about the integration of athletic programs, and also about SWAC and MEAC athletics in general. Does anyone have any information/recommended reading I should try to get my hands on? Thanks for your help.

Check out Black College Football 1892-1992 by Michael Hurd.

Hurd is at work right now on a biography of Collie J. Nicholson, Grambling's first sports information director who recently passed away. His reference book mentioned by HIU 93 is an essential.

Also, look for "Grambling: Cradle of the Pros" (a comprehensive look through the 1979 season of GSU's contribution to pro sports, with an emphasis on football); and "Quarterblack: Shattering the NFL Myth" by Doug Williams, for more on Grambling's impact.
