Tentative completion date in time for 2016 season. ACU has been playing in the public school stadium, located several miles from campus.

"Abilene Christian University announced Friday (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puzUAShzsuE&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DpuzUAShzsuE&app=desktop) that it has received $55 million from three donors – including the largest gift in university history – to begin a series of construction projects that will transform the campus in a way not seen for nearly 50 years.

The gifts kick off “Vision in Action,” a $75 million initiative that will result in three new facilities for the university’s distinctive science programs and two new on-campus stadiums for its football, track and field, and soccer programs. .."

I've gotta love purple!

JUST SAY NO TO PURPLE TURF!

Our Defensive Coordinator was looking for a nick name for our Defense. He first wanted to call em "Purple Haze" till someone pointed out the drug connotation. He settled on Black Haze (we wear predominately black home unis).

Back around 1970, the Northwestern students voted to change the name from Wildcats to Purple Haze. Good thing that didn't stick. Also, they were going to put in purple turf- but fortunately that didn't happen either.
