So given that the teams will start playing again (possibly as soon as 2015), even though it's unlikely to be an every year game - what should they do?
Option 1 - don't have a trophy
Option 2 - use the "old" nickel with the Sioux head on one side
Option 3 - create a "new" nickel with something else on the other side
I'd vote options 2 or 3. If there were no problems at all, then I'd go option 2. But if it's really that big of a deal, then just make a new nickel trophy with some other UND related imagery on the side opposite the buffalo and call it good. No way this game should not play for a trophy. It adds something significant to the rivalry!
Can't wait for this game to start being played again. It's been long enough. Time to get the students engaged in it again. xnodx
