When thinking about it, I honestly think my favorite part of the FCS season last year was the original thread 30 mins after Chattanooga's loss to UT Martin. That was a lot of fun.

Sometime AGS has trouble differentiating between Chattown and UTC.

UTC should actually have a decent team this year, and although it is likely a toss-up between FU and Chatty, if I had to commit, the Mocs are probably the favorite to win the conference. On the other hand, Coach Huesman has always had difficulty winning the "big games", so I wouldn't bet any of my money on them.

Jax St. goes -2 in turnover differential and has 9 penalties for 99 yards. chatty only had 3 penalties for 40 yards. Jax St. still wins. the odds of your team winning a game going -2 in TO/diff and ~100 yards in penalties is extraordinarily low.

2 pick sixes (one was a fluke double ricochet off of a foot) is the only reason the game was close.

JSU dominated pretty much every facet of the game. Chatty had -5 yards of total offense and 0 first downs at the half.

While none of that is out of reach, I believed they should have beat JSU in the preseason. This loss makes me think they will lose at least 4 games this year, and I had them losing 3. UT is a loss and Furman is likely a loss. Could they lose to Samford or Citadel as well?

Thought this was a close game and a push so I went with the home team. Still went to overtime and wasn't a blow out either way.

I'll never put any confidence in UTC again for sure lol.

The game may have been close in score but talent was one sided. There was no reason for it being close except for two pick 6s and penalties. Plus our coaches going into prevent mode at half of course when the other team had -5 yds offense it might be understandable.

JSU has as much talent as anyone in the country while UTC has the coach's son QBing.

It was a strange game. I know that a "Dominant overtime win" sounds like an oxymoron, but it was a dominating performance by JSU. Other than the 2 pick sixes, the first half was arguable the most dominant half of football I have ever seen. UTC had negative yards total offense, and 0 first downs. That is nuts. Even the 116 yards in the second half plus OT is insignificant. JSU had over 400 yards of offense.

Questionable penalties and the two turnovers... one of which was a total fluke... and then our coaches decided to hand the ball off up the middle every play and let the defense win the game... and they did.

I don't think the interceptions would have continued - though UTC does have a solid defense. If we had stayed in our offensive game plan for the rest of the game, we would have won going away... but the coaches did what they thought was best, and let the defense win it. UTC's offense was not a threat to us. They never crossed the goal line.

I know it sounds strange to say it... but it was a dominant performance everywhere but the scoreboard, the penalty line, and the turnover column. We clean up our play and we win that game by 30 or 40 points.

It was never going to be an epic blowout simply because jacksonville state doesn't do the little things well enough to blow out a team with a good defense. Chattanooga actually had 2 golden opportunities to win the game at the end of regulation and huesman was too scared. The oline is dreadful and Jacob Huesman has lost all confidence. His dad needs to take some responsibility and stop blaming the OC. He acts like he is DC and not the head coach.

The reason this thread isn't as good as last year is because Chattown didn't start the thread...you can't force these things...his arrogance has to come out naturally, it can't be fabricated by other fans. ;)
