Not a bad list. I would have to do more investigative work to argue any of this. I would like to see how this list will change come next year though. We have some good draft prospects that may get a chance to have an impact at the next level next year.

I would take Joe Flacco over Tony Romo.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Flacco

[edit (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/w/index.php?title=Joe_Flacco&action=edit&section=4&editintro=Template:BLP_editintro)]
Flacco saw his first full-time action during the 2006 season (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/wiki/2006_NCAA_Division_I_FCS_football_season). Playing for Fightin' Blue Hens (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/wiki/Delaware_Fightin%27_Blue_Hens_football) Flacco threw for 2,783 yards, and 18 touchdowns with 10 interceptions. [8] (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/#cite_note-totalfootballstats1-8) Delaware struggled to a 5–6 record, and failed to qualify for the FCS playoffs.
In the 2007 season (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/wiki/2007_NCAA_Division_I_FCS_football_season), Flacco led his team to an 8–3 regular season record while compiling 4,263 yards, 23 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.[8] (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/#cite_note-totalfootballstats1-8) He was considered one of college football's most accurate passers in 2007.[9] (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/#cite_note-9)[unreliable source? (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/wiki/Wikipedia:Identifying_reliable_sources)] Arguably his best game came against Division 1-A Navy (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/wiki/2007_Navy_Midshipmen_football_team) where he threw for 434 yards and four touchdowns.[10] (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/#cite_note-10) Flacco showed another solid performance in the first-ever meeting against the Delaware State Hornets (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/wiki/Delaware_State_Hornets_football) in the first round of the playoffs. Behind Omar Cuff (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/wiki/Omar_Cuff)'s record-setting day, Flacco threw efficiently for 189 yards and a touchdown, leading the Blue Hens to an easy 44–7 victory.[11] (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/#cite_note-UDstats-11) Flacco continued Delaware's playoff run by upsetting the Northern Iowa Panthers (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/wiki/2007_Northern_Iowa_Panthers_football_team) 39–27 in the FCS (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/wiki/Football_Championship_Subdivision) quarterfinals and upsetting the Southern Illinois Salukis (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/wiki/Southern_Illinois_Salukis_football) 20–17 the next weekend in the semifinals. Flacco threw two touchdowns to win against both the Panthers and Salukis, but went on to lose in the championship game to the Appalachian State Mountaineers (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/wiki/2007_Appalachian_State_Mountaineers_football_team) 49–21.[11] (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/#cite_note-UDstats-11)
Flacco set 20 school records during his career at Delaware.[12] (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/#cite_note-UD-12)
In early September 2009, a 20- by 30-foot poster of Flacco was added to the facade of Delaware Stadium.[13] (http://www.anygivensaturday.com/#cite_note-13)

Yes Romo had better numbers than Flacco but I would still take Flacco over Romo any day of the week because IMO Flacco can get it done in crunch time where Romo can't or hasn't been able to.

That list is just an active player list for this year I believe.

Don't feel bad I had the same thing all written up in a post along with numerous other players that I thought were snubbed until I read the article a little clearer.

I'm not sure Adam Vinatieri is eligible since South Dakota State was a D-II team when he played, but he still has good stats.

When they have player introductions on the prime time games, it seems like about 3/4 of the teams (if not more) have a starter from an FCS or D-II school.

I'll throw in a homer snub. Corey Graham CB for the Ravens. 74 Tackles (56 solo) - 4 Int - 12 passes defended. Better overall numbers than the two selected.

Only stat that matters is winning. How many big games has he pissed away with a late pick? How many games has he won in the last seconds? How many PO wins does he have? Please tell me all about those big wins in key games!xrolleyesx

Daniel Kilgore of the 49ers also had a solid season, got tons of playing time, and made several key blocks in Sunday's NFC championship game.

You're a fool.

Romo has 19 game-winning drives in the fourth quarter or overtime, tied for fifth-most since he took over the starting job in 2006. He has a career 68.7 QBR in the 4th quarter – only Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers are better since 2006.

While it seems like Tony Romo is often throwing away games in the fourth quarter, he actually has fewer fourth-quarter interceptions (23) in the last eight seasons than such “clutch” quarterbacks as Drew Brees (35), Ben Roethlisberger (30) and Brett Favre (25).

If he's that great why 1-3 in PO games and no PO games in 4 years!

By 1 over Tom Brady. Who has how many rings? Is he not clutch either???

Last time I checked football is a team sport, NDSU fans should understand that the most.

And how many SB has Brady won since 2006? That's right the same as Romo! ;)

Yes it is a team sport but as a Viking fan I know how important the QB position is, god do I know! xbawlingx

For as great as people think Romo is you would think Dallas would at least make the PO once every 2-3 years!

Hard to make the playoffs with piss poor Defenses, worse clock management, and play calling along with terrible overpaid players.

Not to get too far off track but is Garrett one of Jerry's illegitimate children or does he have some dirt on Jones that he keeps him around?xeyebrowx

Jerry loves a circus as along as Dallas is the top story on ESPN he's raking in more publicity and cash. Which he admitted to, albeit not in those exact words. Dallas fans are basically screwed until he dies and even then it's not sure what Stephen Jones will do.

Cortez Allen is a FAR better player. That's why he was selected. He also went to a better school.

Glad to see my CCU has an alumni on the list - Mike Tolbert. There's a few top notch players coming into the draft this year from the FCS....I feel like 3 or 4 will definitely be impact players.

As for the QB issue, I don't really have a dog in this fight, but I would pick Romo over Flacco myself if I could only choose one for my team.
