SAMFORD’S FABIAN TRUSS AND MONTANA STATE’S BRAD DALY HIGHLIGHT THE 2013 AFCA FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SUBDIVISION COACHES’ ALL-AMERICA TEAM
WACO, TEX. — Samford running back Fabian Truss and Montana State defensive lineman Brad Daly headline the 2013 AFCA Football Championship Subdivision Coaches’ All-America Team announced today by the American Football Coaches Association. The AFCA has selected an All-America team since 1945 and currently selects teams in all five of its divisions. What makes these teams so special is that they are the only ones chosen exclusively by the men who know the players the best — the coaches themselves. Truss led the Southern Conference and ranked third in the nation in all-purpose yards per game at 183.8 yards per contest. He ranked second nationally in kickoff return average at 32.1 yards per return. Daly led the nation with 14 sacks and 20.5 tackles-for-loss in 2013, earning the Buck Buchanan Award as the top defensive player in FCS.
