All four NEC football weekly honorees put forth Week 11 efforts that helped their teams remain alive for the conference crown and the coveted automatic FCS playoff bid that comes with it. NEC Offensive Player of the Week Kyle Harbridge totaled 208 yards from scrimmage in a 23-20 road victory that has the Red Flash within 1.0 game of first-place Robert Morris.* The NEC Defensive Player of the Week award belongs to RMU linebacker Kimani Smith. Spearheading a smothering defensive effort that helped catapult the Colonials atop the conference standings, Smith made five stops and returned an interception for a touchdown. Colonials’ freshman kicker Connor Shennan claimed the special teams honor after hitting both of his field goal attempts and effectively handling the kickoff duties against Central Connecticut. Sacred Heart stayed alive in the NEC title race by scoring 10 fourth-quarter points in a 10-0 victory over Duquesne and NEC Rookie of the Week RJ Noel ran three times for 87 yards in that decisive final period.
