My poll is corrected, CCU was not included twice.

YSU is probably too high but I think they can shock NDSU at home. They're still the second best team in the MVFC. I've been pretty high on the Guins all year.

Yes, there are always last minute things I'm trying to get done so some come in right at the poll closing deadline which is simply the time I shut the poll off so I'm still sweeping up until about 20 after the hour so you can reply and I check before putting the poll out.

If you really wanted USD I apologize for that. I just looked at the previous ballot and figured you were typing in S-A-M and then selected USD.

I thought this was the toughest week of the year, especially for the Top 10...

- i dropped Fordham due to the Nebrich injury
- SHSU gives up point galore but wins
- YSU loses a tough roadie against a decent team. I didn't penalize them for it....
- SELA is rolling
- W&M might be the most undervalued team in FCS
- what do you do with CSU and CCU? What's the CCU QB situation?
- I've watched a bunch of BSC games and NAU is the second best team imo.

Let me preface this with; Lehigh has two difficult game left against their two biggest rivals...

Not many teams have wins over two AGS Top 25 teams. They might not be the highest ranked teams but they've earned the respect of our peers...

Lehigh has shown the ability to beat quality teams over years yet for some reason people refuse to except it. This isn't a Lehigh is the greatest rant, rather, yes virginia, they're pretty good...

Then again Maine had its own squeaker against a one-win Albany team. I'm not sure if the Bears played short-handed.

A win's a win, and Saturday's win was especially important for Fordham -- a great gut-check win for the Rams. We've seen all year long they can build a big lead and hide. But Saturday was the second time this season (the first being at Temple) the Rams won on the last play of the game by stepping up in the clutch and getting the job done. If you get to the playoffs, believing you can win close games, and knowing you've done it before, is more important than running an opponent out of the stadium.

They gave up 49 the week before to SFA.

Might be slight hyperbole/nitpicking but there's definitely some truth to it. My overall point was teams have warts in the Top 10. AGS had SHSU #6, I had them #7...they're darn good..

SFA also has the number 1 ranked total offense in the country. They would be an incredible team if they were more disciplined and didn't make so many stupid mistakes and turnovers. I don't care if your NDSU, SFA is still going to get their yards and most likely lose anyways. Thats just the kind of team they are. Double that when your talking about a rivalry like The Battle of the Piney Woods. Its been lopsided on wins for us the last 10 years but it is a very heated rivalry with fans that wouldn't piss on the fire if the other school was burning down. See the fact that there were 26k plus for this game when SFA and SHSU alike don't average over 8-9k for any other games.

Sorry. I wasn't arguing the points galore comment, just making a point about the coaching choice of pulling players. Sorry for the confusion.
I'm on the SHSU bandwagon, fmrbearkat. Worried about Saturday's game, though.

Saturday's game is going to be tough for sure. Im not as worried about them as I was McNeese though. Even as good as our team has been the last couple years McNeese has been our achilies heel forever and that gets into a programs head. SELA lost to us 70-0. There is no doubt that will be in their heads and they will most likely play nervous and make mistakes. I just don't see them coming into the game lose enough to play fast and fealess. Still have no doubts we are going to have to play very well to win it though!!

Yahoo has the Coaches Poll up. Someone explain how JMU at #25 lends that ranking any credibility.

I would still argue that UNH should not be in our AGS poll either. Above JMU? Clearly after this weekend but still not 1 of the 25 best in the country. Would rather give some love out to a lower conference team having a good year than UNH barely scrapping by....

That SELA team is no where near the same team as they were last year. They have a lot of transfers and most probably have no idea that SHSU beat them 70-0 last year. They are the real deal. I hope SHSU wins and they could but I would not base that on what happened last year.

Look out for that SFA team. They're pesky.

They didn't look all that great to me in person this past Saturday. But small sample size of just one game.

I have trouble talking to a fan of a team that lost by 29 to the at best 2nd team in their conference. Get some consistency. One weaks a defensive struggle, next games a shootout. The big sky is a joke.

While I do agree, those in glass houses yada yada yada. The SoCon ain't exactly great this year

Seriously? Forgetting for a second that the Griz haven't had a loss (to an FCS team) by that margin since the '90s; if there is a team that is struggling more than the Griz recently it's the Cats

I know its going to be a tough game but I think our guys will show up big. I know SELA is vastly improved but I just don't see them winning this game right now. Earlier in the year before the McNeese loss I wouldn't feel this way. I was worried about the McNeese game because of history and the fact y'all had a bye week. It's going to be a great game and I can't wait to be there to see it. If we do lose there will be no shame in it in my book. McNeese and SELA will both make waves in the playoffs!!

YSU lost to an unranked UNI team that their own fans are saying that they don't recognize half the names because they are so far down on the depth chart, and you didn't move them down?

Ultimate trap game imo with NDSU this week. Conference road wins are tough to get...

Plus, they only have 1 FCS loss and 8 D1 W's. They've shown the ability to beat solid teams on the road and at home. They're also pretty balanced offensively and defensively. Imo, they're the second best MVFC with a real shot to beat NDSU at home. Even a 1-2 finish will leave them with a very sound 9-3 record....

I've had faith in the Guins all year....

Can't knock having us get bumped by Maine. Just hope Nebrich is ok and that we win out since an undefeated regular season is something special no matter what.

What's the 'official' diagnosis on Nebrich? I heard he was out for good this year. I hope not.

They beat us 70-0 last year, for Pete's sake! I mean, how much better can we be? We could be nine TDs better and still lose by a seven. Think I'm gonna hurl just thinkin' about it.xholyx

Not an ACL, everything I hear points to meniscus. That would mean two weeks out. But I was dead wrong when I thought it was his ACL after Saturday so take everything with a grain of salt.
