ACU is coming of an embarrassing loss to UIW, a team they beat 40-6 three weeks ago. PV beat SFA earlier this year. Tough game to predict.

UIW was owned by Angelo State when they were in the Lone Star, but UIW is rapidly improving behind a freshman QB who has gotten better as the season has gone along.

Wow... So you are saying it is possible for one team to lose that bad but come back and win at a later date. Who would have ever imagined that? Guess McNeese's season is not over yet.

Every week!!! Nervous but ready, our offense is looking like its back on track after a few off games (Lamar/McNeese) so I like our chances. Could very well be a shoot out 56-49 type game but as long as we have at least one more on the scoreboard in the end, thats all that matters.

McNeese will make the playoffs and 3 SLC teams will get at least 1 win in the playoffs. This is the strongest 3 contenders this conference has ever had and as a whole the playoff field outside the top 4-6 teams) is weaker. Great year to be a Southland fan for sure!!

It is strong but I am not sure about ever. I can remember when McNeese, SFA, and NWSU would make it in the 90's it always seemed liked 2 of those teams were in the top 5. I remember 1 year McNeese and either SFA and NWSU making the semis.

I only care that MSU beats NW this week. Even though it's in the Hole, it could be a trap game. If Sammy takes care of business at SLU, all the better.

I listened to coach Conque basically list off the injuries to UCA last night on the coaches show.

Starting qb- career done.
Starting TE- career done.
Two starting WRs- one gimpy and one out.
5 running backs- 4 season ending injuries and one fighting it out.
Oline looks like a mash unit.

Defense- I could list so many injuries its not funny. VERY thin. What we put in is very inexperienced freshmen and they don't know the proper places to be on the field when running various defensive packages. SLU and McNeese had guys wide open..and I don't mean wide open from their efforts...I mean from no one being around them for 10 yards. We'll count the rest of this year as a healing time and come back next year full force!
