Chuck South & SDSU too high - SELA & Chatty too low

We sure this is the updated poll? If so, a Joke.

Montana four spots higher than NAU?
McNeese FIVE spots higher than SELA?

New Hampshire ranked?
Delaware should be above Towson as well.

Maine continues to be undervalued in this poll. Switch them with Montana St and you've got a much better looking poll.

Not a whole lot of love for the CAA in this poll. W&M being a spot behind JMU after beating them and only two ahead of UNH doesn't make much sense, but nice to finally be back in the rankings. After seeing our D the last two weeks, Maine seems all that much better for putting up 34 on us.

Need to switch JMU and W&M to start. Then UNH & SDSU should NOT be ranked at all. Thats just to start...

WAY too high - McNeese St
WAY too low - SE LA
(overall, not just from their game)

I'm not really bothered by any of the rankings. But I think the most misaligned at the moment is Wofford. The Terriers are being overvalued in the polls.

But the good news is that the 3 teams at the top of the depleted SoCon will be able to decide their lone bid to the playoffs in the final 3 weeks of the season with head-to-head football games.

Let's break the streak already. UNH should not be in the top 25.

CAA is the most difficult conference to figure out. A lot of parity from top to bottom. Everyone bound to stub a toe or two during season, makes comparative scores unreliable. More like how are you now, as opposed to how were you a month ago.

Well I can't speak for those who voted. However it's likely that result is due to Montana fans being smarter, and better looking, than the NAU fans. Discuss.

The TSN gives the benefit of the doubt to the CAA teams. How do you distinguish the difference between a team like UNH and SIU? SIU is 5-4, and 3-2 in a tough converence like the MVFC (CAA is also tough), but TSN gives more respect to UNH because they are CAA? When you look at the voters TSN poll swings in favor of the CAA by 4 votes. Guess thats all you need. They should be ashamed of themselves. F'ing a-holes. At least we have playoffs to sort this out. The issue is that the bubble treams will almost always go to the CAA and that is bull****. Especially considering that the National Champion has come out of the MVFC the last few years. The polls count when the ranking influences your chances at a spot. YSU has been f'd over at least 4 times in the last 10 years. They have only gotten into the playoffs when they win the f'ing conference. This may be the first year that does not happen.

SIU has lost to an FBS like UNH, but SIU's three FCS loses are to the #1 team, #2 team, and # 9 team in this poll. Average margin of defeat 8 points. UNH has lost to #13, #21 and #23 in this poll average defeat 13 points. Advantage SIU.

SIU has wins against #19, an ORV, two other FCS teams not receiving any other votes, and a DII. UNH has wins against an ORV team, and three other FCS teams not receiving votes. Advantage SIU.

Can anyone other than TSN justify ranking UNH above SIU at this point? At least AGS got it right.

TSN should require thier voters to explain. I don't get it. Does anyone else here get wtf they did here? TSN should require thier voters to explain. I don't get it. Does anyone else here get wtf they did here? The best part is that TSN has the following headline: In the FCS Huddle: Unpredictable CAA is strong again http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform.aspx?c=sportsnetwork&page=cfoot2/news/news.aspx?id=4636911. Well I'm certainly not a voter, but I'd say it's the SoCon teams that seem to be getting more credit than they're worthy of in this week's TSN poll. Pretty much every computer poll has the Southern Conference well down the list in their ranking metrics, but somehow there are 3 SoCon teams in the TSN poll. To me there seems to be a bit of a 'Southeast bias'.

This year I believe that there is the MVFC and then there is everybody else. Not to hurt any feelings but that is my stance. USD deserves to be ranked based on their conference standing.

I give you that one. Maine gets annual disrepect by TSN. I don't know why? You are like the red headed step child to TSN in the CAA.

TSN gave repect and ranking to upstart ODU. They tripped over their dicks every week with ODU and gave no respect to a good Maine team at the same time.

Yeah, umm, what? You're only getting two teams in the playoffs. In what way does that suggest that you're head and shoulders above every other conference?

As pokes said, there is NDSU and if you take them out of the discussion then there isn't anyone else in the MVFC that would scare any of the other top teams across the country away. You MVFC guys have a bit of a homer look at how things are I think.

Any bragging NDSU is well founded but from the rest of ya...that's all it is. There are good teams in the MVFC just as there are in the rest of the top conferences and there are several in each so stop hanging your hat on NDSU.

USD, SDSU, SIU, YSU, are all good teams and Montana is going into USD week and I don't see the 4th place team in the BSC being in a good spot against USD...no better than a 50/50 shot in that one but we sure as hell ain't at the top of the BSC either.

So let's look at MVFC Out of Conference. 20-17 with one game left to be played.

Against:
FBS 2-10 (wins by NDSU and UNI over Big 12 teams)
DII 4-0
Pioneer 4-0
NEC 1-0

That leaves the Full Schollie conferences. Record 9 - 7
MEAC 2-0 (DSU and Hampton, both below .500)
Big Sky 3-1 (Wins over UNC, UC-Davis and UND, all well below .500, Loss to NAU)
Southland 3-2 (Wins over McNeese, SELA, and Abliene, Losses to UCA and NW St (both by MVFC 3rd Place team)
Ohio Valley 1-4 (Win over SEMO (below .500), Losses to Eastern Illinois (twice, by top half teams), Tenn Tech - worst team to OVC, and Murray)

you get really worked up about this. i guess i can understand it, to a degree. but it doesn't matter. the committee will have you as a top 4-5 seed at the VERY worst, and top 2-3 if you win out. you still need to take care of business against teams you absolutely should beat.

maine is obviously the best team in the conference, just enjoy it. seriously, i'm still living off the 2008 JMU year. those years don't come around very often, have fun with it.

OVC UTM has beaten UTC (ranked in polls) and CAU (ranked) and is barely receiving votes. If the OVC could win during the playoffs rather than regular season I'm sure this would change.
