Sacred Heart won its second consecutive NEC contest and moved to 7-1 overall with a 56-28 road win over Bryant in Week 8.* Three of the men who helped deliver that win earned NEC football weekly honors on Monday.* SHU running back Keshaudas Spence retained his NEC Offensive Player of the Week post by rushing for 180 yards at Bryant.* The NEC Defensive Player of the Week award went to SHU lineman Troy Moore, who logged 6.0 tackle for loss on Saturday.* Pioneers quarterback RJ Noel was responsible for five touchdowns and kept the NEC Rookie of the Week award in his possession as a result.* Duquesne also posted a NEC victory in Week 8 and saw punter Aaron Fleck honored as the Special Teams Player of the Week. Fleck, who made a habit of pinning RMU in its own end, shared the special teams honor with Bryant’s Jose Depadua who logged a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
