Springfield, Mass. - October 16, 2013 - Due to the government shutdown, the Springfield College football team's game at Merchant Marine has been postponed and will not be played on Saturday, October 19.
The teams were slated to play this upcoming Saturday, but since USMMA is still closed, the game cannot be played. Both institutions are exploring the option of potentially playing each other on November 23.

Springfield will now turn its attention to prepare for its Homecoming game against St. Lawrence, which will take place on Oct. 26 at 1:30 pm on Stagg Field.
