(9th) Indiana State University (1-5 0-2) @ (5th) Illinois State University (2-4 1-2) Battle of the worst teams in the valley?

#20 (5th) South Dakota State University (4-3 1-2) @ (5th) Missouri State University (1-6 1-2) Missouri State lost their starting QB to NDSU last week, but an upset here wouldn't be overly surprising.

#1 (1st) North Dakota State University (6-0 3-0) @ #15 (3rd) Southern Illinois University (4-3 2-1) Hard to beat NDSU anywhere, but an upset isn't unrealistic.

(5th) Western Illinois University (3-4 1-2) @ #12 (1st) Youngstown State University (6-1 3-0) YSU is to good for WIU.

(3rd) University of South Dakota (3-3 2-1) @ #11 (9th) University of Northern Iowa (4-2 0-2) Despite the conference playoff implications, I want USD to win lol.

South Dakota State University @ Missouri State University - loss of Harris is gonna hurt the Bears

Western Illinois University @ Youngstown State University - YSU should win this one handily at home

University of South Dakota @ University of Northern Iowa - UNI gets back on track thanks to the Yotes

3-2 for me last week, my first week picking more games right than wrong in the conference season. 40-11 on the year.

Indiana St @ Illinois St - No idea on this one, my head tells me Illinois St so I'll do the opposite based on my MVFC picks so far this season.
South Dakota St @ Missouri St - MSU is missing their top QB but I still think they'll throw for some yards on the Jacks and do a decent job of bottling up Zenner. However, Sumner has a field day and is the difference.
North Dakota St @ Southern Illinois - A motivated Bison D is able to contain an improved SIU offense enough to win the field position game and get a 7-10 point win.
Western Illinois @ Youngstown St - The Penguins continue to get fat at the expense of the lower tier Valley teams.
South Dakota @ Northern Iowa - UNI is angry and talented, they roll the Coyotes in this one and send a message that they're not dead yet.

Marcus Williams has a bruised leg and a broken hand. I think there are more broken hands/wrists.

DE Cole Jirik, LB Travis Beck, and CB CJ Smith all have some nagging shoulder issues. LB Carlton Littlejohn and OG Tyler Gimmestad have meniscus tears that kept them out of last weeks game (Littlejohn had surgery) but both are probable to play in this game. OG Jack Plankers (backup) is out with a knee and C Josh Colville just got 30-some stitches taken out of his face after an moped accident before the UNI game although he played last week. And then there's Marcus Williams whose ailments were already mentioned by Twentysix.

As far as I know all except Plankers are expected to play but how limited any of them are is anyone's guess.

#20 (5th) South Dakota State University (4-3 1-2) @ (5th) Missouri State University (1-6 1-2) --- Upset of the week. MSU has the offense to shock the Bunnies.

Indy St. -- Trees win a close one

SDS -- Bunnies in a run away game.

NDSU -- someone is going to get the Bison, but won't be SIU ( YSU ?)

YSU -- Penguins may jump ugly all over the Necks.

UNI -- wins this one, but they have been exposed and are vulnerable.

Let me guess it was NDSU's fault a UNI player was blocked into Farley and Farley broke his leg? I am sure the NDSU coaches were trying to scheme a way to block a UNI player into Farley and thus Farley would break his leg.

What a BS thing to say!

Go Yotes!
Anyone watching the Yotes knows that we have a phenomenal defense, currently ranked 6th in the nation with potential defensive POY in Tyler Starr, but very few people outside of Vermillion are watching the Yotes right now. Sustain some success and heads will turn our way. I'm not going to say we'll beat UNI, but they will not take it running away. Our defense has been amazing, but our offense and special teams have been big liabilities, and we haven't won a road game since we beat Minnesota back in 2010.

The Valley is one crazy league.

this game was crazy but I have to say the SEC this week is making me very happy, the only favorite who is gonna win this week is Bama in that conference

My comments told it like it was lol.

True that the USD>UNI breaks their 18 game road losing stretch. Minnesota in 2010 was the Yotes last road win.

Congrats Yotes.

sassafrassen, predictable, porous D Rabbits.xblehx That's probably the dagger to the Jacks hope of making the play-offs.

I'd say that the MVFC went from 5 to 3 teams into the play-offs today. UNI can drop it to two if they keep losing.

USD could realistically make the playoffs at 9-3 or 8-4, so it could still be a 4 bid league.

It's worth noting that we changed starting quarterbacks to sophomore Kevin Earl after the WIU loss, and are 3-0 with him under center. Our offense is improving week by week. Two freshmen running backs figuring out how to play college ball (Bouma had 149 yards on 30 carries today), QB learning on the job, former QB contributing more and more each week at WR, burnt a freshman WR's redshirt and he is looking very studly (2 TDs against UNI today), and the defense doesn't have to spend the whole game on the field now. We are absolutely not the same team that suffered a 3 game losing streak earlier this year, and are looking to raise some hell on this buzzsaw schedule we face in the 2nd half of the season.

Plus even if we win just one more game down the stretch that's one more than we won in the Valley last year, so I couldn't complain.
