In a related link from 2008, AGSers tried to predict the 2009 top 10. I never had EWU or Delaware in my guess, as many others did not either.

I think you're thinking of 2010. EWU lost in the 1st round in 2009, and Delaware didn't make the playoffs.

I'd say McNeese was ranked about right. We were 3-1 at this date five years ago. We lost a close one to North Carolina, had a couple of blow outs of cupcakes, and then gone to Brookings and beat the Jackrabbits in a 3OT game.

That win over SDSU was the single most exciting game I've ever seen McNeese play. Ferroux was amazing.

Lehigh's great run from '98-'05 was still pretty fresh. At that time, LU and GSU were in the dumps after a posting two of the top winning %'s over the previous 7-8 years.People were wondering what was wrong with these two....
