Last year the goal was to hold opposing teams to under 40 points. This year, it seems to be to hold them to under sixty. I feel sorry for somebody, alas, I am not sure who, but at this point, you have to consider the quality of the defensive coaches.

Silver lining: there's still one half to play and the game technically isn't over yet

Otherwise: yikes. Colgate looks slow, out of sorts, just completely outclassed. Can't run the ball, can't pressure the QB, minimal coverage on the receivers. Might need to be more aggressive with the DBs or blitzing, but otherwise...not sure

Not sure what you do at this point. The team and staff seem capable of making halftime adjustments, but the fact is they are way too far behind before those take effect. Poor performance from the defense in particular, this team needs to be better earlier on.

Interesting game to keep an eye on next week as Yale battles Cornell. We get Big Red after a bye week, so it'll be good to get some time off and get a look at them. First 0-4 start since 1996

I agree. Yale has to have a run option besides Varga to be successful. At least this year they have some depth at QB. Last year, Varga ended up playing QB and while he did as decent a job as could be expected, Yale was one dimensional since nobody had to worry about the pass.

And yet, with a win over the Engineers in Hamilton, Colgate could still win the PL with a 6-6 or even 5-7 mark. The Red Raiders get Bucknell and Lehigh at home and probably don't have as much to worry about with Holy Cross or Georgetown. Maybe Lafayette could spring the upset?
