Bobby was an All-American QB for the Dogs 1950-1953. He graduated in 1953 and came back to coach Samford(formerly Howard College) 1959-1962, and still holds the all-time coaching winning percentage. The statue will be located at the East Gate Entrance of Seibert Stadium. He and his wife Ann(former Bulldog Cheerleader) will lead the team in the traditional Bulldog Walk. Bobby will then perform the coin toss for Samford's home opener. Samford University is very proud to claim Bobby Bowden as one of its distinguished alums. xnodx
Just FYI, another former A-A QB at Samford, named Jimbo Fisher, is HC at a little program down in Tallahassee, and I don't mean FAMU.:)
