Ranked 11th in D2. We (Abilene Christian) beat them last year 22-16 in OT while we were still a true d2team.

McNeese has the lead going into the 4th quarter. This is when depth (30 scholarship advantage of FCS over d2) will probably show up.

That why McNeese was barely in my top 20. No consistency. #10 was ridiculously high for them at this point.

West Alabama (formerly known as Livingston) is a DII school in the Gulf South Conference. They went 9-4 last year, losing in the second round of the playoffs to eventual champ Valdosta, whom they beat in the regular season.

Yeah, I'm not/am looking forward to it tomorrow.

Pretty sure I'll be wrong no matter what I do.

It's pretty hard to be wrong, it's all subjective. If it wasn't we would just use computer rankings.

North Alabama has been a pretty strong D-II over the years and has even looked at moving to D-I.

ESPN still has 23 seconds left in this one. Hate the games where ESPN doesn't have stats, play-by-play or anything. Inexcusable.

Jacksonville State just added a two-run HR, make that a safety ... 15-11 with 8:18 remaining.

They want to move up, but the OVC turned them down and decided taking in non football schools would be a better move.

I knew they had talked to the OVC. North Alabama looks like it will fall short to JSU. 18-11 with a couple of minutes left.

I said I was more worried about this game than I was Georgia State next week.

I just watched from the final minute of regulation on and there was so much WEIRD stuff it is hard to even remember it all. The officials let the UNA QB Wingo come back on a penalty play when the rule says you have to sit out at least one play. They blew that. Good thing for JSU that the penalty for delay, trying to ice the kicker, didn't result in a first down.

You don't have to worry much about Georgia State. You lose that one and Clark should immediately resign.

Me, my wife and about ten other people I can name off the top of my head will be at the Dome next week. That should give us home field advantage right there.

I'll take it. And, of the three teams we played so far, West Alabama was the best of the three and that three includes South Florida. They would have whipped South Florida with their speed.

Doc- I completely agree. Normally I would be disappointed and worried after a close win over a D2 but that team was good. They have a lot of FBS transfers and there speed showed. Their quarterback was really good.

I thought North Alabama had done a study and decided to stay D-II.

No they are still waiting for an offer from the OVC. Not sure why the OVC wouldn't want UNA in. They would automatically become the second biggest draw in the conference.

They did have really good speed....All in all, though, this game reminded me of Henderson State..

Matt's fourth quarter clock management was excellent, as usual...

The OVC should invite TUNA today. Would be a great add for any conference.

UWA and TUNA are very good DII teams that are well coached.
JSU has to find a QB would can throw the ball to his target. Its hard to win a game against many teams when your only offense is running. Our defense will have a bad night this season.
