(San Diego, Calif.) - The USD Toreros improved to 1-1 on the season with tonight's hard-fought 38-35 victory over the visiting Western New Mexico Mustangs (0-1). It was USD's third straight win over the Mustangs in the past three seasons, and USD improved their home field winning streak to 13 straight. Senior quarterback Mason Mills threw for 313 yards and 3 touchdowns, and senior running back Joe Ferguson rushed for 156 yards and found the end zone twice.
