Since Brown head football coach Phil Estes took over the program 16 years ago, the Bears have been perennial contenders for the Ivy League title. With eight starters returning on offense and a nucleus of strong defensive players, Brown opens training camp for its 136th season of intercollegiate football amidst optimism for a run an its fourth Ivy title under Estes. The Bears will undergo physical testing on Friday, August 23, and hold their first official practice is on Saturday, August 24, with a split session, beginning at 1pm.
