Maine - Norfolk would have been a good choice but figured since the process was truncated this go round we selected out of the teams with some current top 25 visibility. Sorry to those guys cuz that is a miss and was done at my direction. I did mention the SFA Weber game but was looking for something more East to try and even out the selections but ended up with a Southerly flavor. The Maine game would have helped out in every area I just missed it.

How's Charleston Southern at Citadel even in contention? Citadel should kill them, so I don't see how that even ranks being game of the week. If you're going to keep it in the Socon, should have picked Samford at Georgia State. I have a feeling Samford is going to give the Socon the first of its FBS victories in week one.

Easily. Just filler for the ASU/UM game. Something to balance out the poll.

I think we've actually indirectly nailed it. Socon has all their FBS games at the end of the season whereas most other conferences have them at the beginning - usually the first week.

Technically they, along with us and ODU, are considered FCS Independents for this season.

No this game is in Nashville, TN at the LP Field. The Florida Citrus Bowl will be hosting the MEAC/SWAC challenge next week.

I agree with this sentiment - if they aren't eligible for AGS Top 25, should they be eligible for AGS Game of the Week?

The two things don't go hand in hand and they will be eligible for all future GOTW nominations this year as well. I'm not gonna be on the punitive side of things and will include them in everything except where the poll committee and AGS members have said in the past that they and others moving up should not be included.
