FIFY. I would add the not ranked players for reference too. Offense would likely need more than 11 players due to formations (D likely as well I guess for Nickel packages).

No way are there 39 players more versatile than Jerrick McKinnon. That has arguably defined him more than being a QB.

9 Kats on the list. 2 of them likely wont start.

Grothmann won't see the ball...hence the snub. He missed Vraa too.

These ARE NOT from Phil Steele.
It says so clearly at the link. These are from an AGS poster, a disreputable one at that who sells his questionable opinions.

PHIL STEELE DOES NOT DO ANY FCS THINGS. He can not make enough money off of FCS because his opinions, like the AGS poster at the link, are not genuine. Steele is an FBS guy. So take it all with a large grain of salt.

Just because it is from an AGS poster doesn't make it a bad thing - especially since many here feel this community knows more about FCS than national media and produces the best FCS top 25.

As far as calling him disreputable, that is an opinion but are you truly reputable to be able to question his character? This board didn't use to allow personal attacks, has that changed?

I quit reading Phil Steele after seeing his "all conference" picks for Independents, dominated by ACU but with some dubious picks. For example, our probable starting senior QB was named to the first team despite never having started a game and with only 5 of 10 completions in three years as a back up. Some of Steele's other picks would not have rated Honorable Mention d2 all conference. Bye, bye credibility.

ACU and ODU probably do have most of the best talent in this year's group of independents.

Sorry but no Gus Johnson? (SLC 1st Team) 2nd leading rusher in the the SLC and they have Mike Brooks 5-9; 180 WR for SFA listed as the #10 best TE?

Disreputable as in stealing content and selling it. He was fired from numerous jobs because of it. Not an opinion, fact. It was not a personal attack, just stating the facts. Good luck to him in the future and here's hoping he will eventually learn a lesson.

So many places quoted these picks as "Phil Steele's" so it needed to be said that they are not. That's all.
