approved, but i think Savannah State is going to surprise this or next season.
if they have a QB who can throw, there new head coach is going to take them places. (Coach Wilson was OC at JSU during or Air Raid days a few years ago. plus, he just picked up our(JSU) WR coach.

I don't see the MEAC getting an AL slot this year.xtwocentsx

What happened to Hampton? I miss the days of undefeated seasons and losing by 30 in the first round of the playoffs.

Let me ask a question here. I'm not just curious, but concerned because Samford plays FAMU at Tallahassee this year. How can a team have FIVE players on the preseason all-conference list (WR, RB, 2OL, and QB-co POY) and still be ranked fifth in the poll? No defense, or WHAT??? This seems very strange to me. Hope someone can explain.

Meant to say 5 players on the FIRST TEAM all-conference list. (For some reason had problem with edit to post).

There's a very obvious disconnect between the All-Conference teams and the poll.

DSU has five on the all-MEAC team as well and we're picked to finish 8th.

I think the voters were looking at the new coaching staff and scheme being brought in...but we're loaded with talent this season

Honestly, this could be one of the strongest seasons the MEAC has had in a LONG time

FWIW, I think the coaches have an idea about who's got game...the dog slept for a season, but I think we've made some coaching changes that will be apparent on the field.

Norfolk State also has eleven Preseason All-Conference players and they were picked 7th. Honestly, there are about 7 teams that will be capable of winning the conference title this season. Whomever gets the most consistent QB play will probably win the Conference.
