Dook goes down. I'll freely (and happily) admit I was wrong about that. Well-done Spiders!

Thanks everyone. Just got back from Durham.

It was a blast. Great place to see a game. They even had fireworks for us after the game.

However, in a typical BCS garbage move, they cleared the scorebaord about 20 second after it went final. My buddy stood up and took one picture with. By the time the person sitting behind him went to do the same it was gone.

I had a feeling that Richmond would win, but I didn't think it would be a shutout. Good job, Spiders. That sucks about the scoreboard.

How many people were at Wallace Wade Outdoor Stadium (not counting Richmond fans)? 15-20 Dook fans?

Attendance was announced at 27,500.

It was pretty half empty though after the half (Richmond lead 10-0).

I'd guess there were roughly 1000 to 1500 Richmond fans there.

yeah, Duke has a ton of basketball fans but not many football fans, kinda funny actually

so I guess next week will be your first real opponentxlolx

Considering its "bye" I'm thinking we'll stay undefeated.

Actually, our next game is VMI at home. Should be fun.

a bye week is probably more likely to include a loss than playing Dukexlolx

Excellent job, Richmond! :hurray: :hurray: Did the Delle Donne kid from DE get any snaps at QB for Duke?

Gene Delledonne transferred to Middle Tennesse State. I don't know who to call the Transfer U in terms accepting Transfers. But clearly Duke is the school that is Transfer out of U.

Great win! I'll be looking forward to watching the Spiders when they make their second trip to Durham this season.

it was a great game to watch and see our guys do well on both sides of the ball. redshirt freshmen QB Eric Ward showed alot of poise for his first college game. he is going to be a good one.....

I listened to some of the game on Yahoo and I thought that Richmond controlled that game.

I'm more then certain now that Duke will never have Richmond over again.

Thanks for all the kudos, actually the Spids and the Dookies are scheduled to play in 09 and 11. They have backed out of one contract in the past so they may do it again.

Duke came very close to beating Wake Forest today. They led 13-7 going into the fourth quarter. They got to WF's nine yard line at the end, but had a field goal attempt blocked.

Duke QB Thaddeus Lewis passed for 303 yards, no INT's.
