New Helmets for 2013?

In lieu of our friend from Helmet Project, (sad to see him backing off from that but Im sure he has his reasons), I thought Id start a discussion and see if anyone has heard word of changes to he design on your team's helmet for 2013.

Will hope to have pictures at some point but with Liberty's new athletics logo (debuted during the Big South Tournament last month), there will be a change on the helmet as well

I believe UNH will be wearing new helmets at some point. A matte blue version. The cage will also be blue I guess.

Lehigh needs to go back to the interlocking "LU" on their helmets. The plain gold look has run its course imo.

MSU updated the Cat logo and switched to UA uniforms. Nothing official on the helmet design, but I'm 80% sure that it will not have the M on them.

I honestly dont know Laker, when I did my previews for my blog, I would pull helmet pictures from his site for my posts so I certainly would like to have some up to date pictures to use this fall

The only things usually deleted are pretty far out of bounds and this really doesn't hit the mark on that. Probably wouldn't hurt to not turn this into a smack thread and let it be what it was intednded to be if we could.

I love the throwback, crack pipe Yosef from last year's Nike Pro Combats. I'd like to see it as our annual alternate. No need to stray from the block A though. It's is a strong logo and very tied to our brand.

UNI will be wearing a white helmet again this year for a game, possibly an updated/better version of the one we wore last year.

I'd love to see UNI go back to one of these though...whole different topic for me and my hatred of UNIs unis since about 96...

Colgate plans no changes, though some older Alumni would like to see the return of the block "C" or simply numbers in white on the maroon helmet. Though an older alumni, I disagree. The "'gate" moniker was a master stroke for Colgate athletics.

After all these years of maroon and white and maroon, white and grey/silver, it was nice (and neat - nothing like a brand new uniform that fits) but a little too dark for my tastes. Our maroon is very dark to begin with.

You let that penguin get some scuff marks from some hard hits and he could look intimidating.

Nova is sticking with the same uniform as far as I know. I've always liked it. Simple and it gets the job done

I'm not an expert on YSU, but I think that they did have an image of a penguin with a pipe in his mouth several years ago. I'll have to look for it.

The white tops were a lot better in my opinion. If they had keep it white and put the "Salukis" on the sides that are on the black helmets, that would be solid.

Obviously we have a new helmet this year. You can't tell in the photo but the helmet has green flake in it. Nothing is going to look better than these helmets with scuffs on them next Saturday.
