It can be student section, or any other section at a home game of yours.

Here's a pic of our student section from a 2004 game:

We were playing a freakin' NAIA school that day. You can see that fans are still filing in!!

Yes, we support our football team pretty dang well at NDSU.

Radmann, that bottom picture is great. Looks like it's a night game. The colors are great. I disagree with thunder sticks at a football game as I think they cut down on the amount of noise the crowd can make, it's not like a basketball game where the sounds echoes. But that's a great picture.

Seeing all these pics makes me realize we should've gone to DI a long time ago. The crowd pics you guys are posting are similar to NDSU's. THESE are the kind of peer schools we should be having in our division, not that DII crap. I saw a thread on D2football.com a while ago that showed crowds at DII games, and none of them could even hold a candle to the atmosphere at NDSU or any other schools represented on this thread. This division is where we truly belong. I just regret we didn't move sooner.

They had plenty of time and opportunity to reschedule us for this year and are ducking us for next already.

It might not be a big deal for Nichols because ya'll don't make much off of a home game, but it cost us nearly $400,000 and they have a history of not honoring their word or their contracts.

I never said that they got hit. I just said that there was a hurricane. extenuating circumstances that over-rode football for MOST people in that area. But to come on a message board and whine excessively won't help your case ANY. Do you really think that the Southern AD is on here thinking, "Hell, the McNeese fans are mad at me...I better call them up and sign a contract right now!!!"

I've been thinking that for a while. I think they should tack on $3 to the student fees, that would more than cover 2000-3000 shirts that they could hand out to the student section the first couple of games. Its a photoshop blended graphic. I would bet on it. To top it off it is not even a decent fake. The people in the far back should appear the smallest yet in the picture they are by far the largest. Look at the differing angles and, like Todd said, notice the size differences of adjacent people. One guys head is pea sized next to a watermelon head. At UNI if you live in the dorms, you get a free purple shirt that says PANTHER PRIDE on the back. Plus, if you are one of the nearly 2,000 people in the Panther Posse (our official student section) you get two shirts, one for football and one for basketball. So those usually get worn to the games.

I'm orginally from New Orleans, my family still lives in the area. My grandmother could not go back home for weeks. My wife has and aunt and uncle who lived in Arabi....in case you haven't heard, the water was over their ROOF. Another Aunt....4 blocks from the break in the levee in Lakeview. She was lucky enough to get some clothes back that was hanging up in the 2nd story closet....all winter clothes. My wife's immediate family lived with me in Baton Rouge for several weeks....in a 1 bedroom apartment. My immediate family evacuted and the closest place they could find to stay was San Antonio. The worked their way back to Houston and bought a few generators. A week later they got back into St. Charles Parish and lived off of MREs, ice and a gas powered generator for over a week.

So, I guess you're right. I have NO IDEA what it was like. Right?

Look you have no idea who I am or anything about my past and vice-versa. But what this is, is petty bickering that the Southern game got cancelled by weather (which has happenned hundreds of times in college football with MANY match-ups not ever being rescheduled). Be greatful that you people still have homes to go to and a stadium that is playable.

Like I said before, it does you NO GOOD to whine about the Southern game being cancelled on a message board. If you want to do something, write a letter to Southern's AD.

Sorry about your family. I have friends, clients, etc in New Orleans and in Cameron Parish and and if you live in Baton Rouge, I know I personally endured more from those two storms than you did.

The Southern fiasco is a bunch of BS. Our Ad should have never scheduled them to begin with or should have demanded we get the first home game. The issue is not the fact that the game was cancelled because of Katrina, the issue is they never attempted to to date have not offered another game in good faith. (which is not surprising).

Irregardless, I am through with the BS about Southern and hope our paths NEVER cross again on a football field. We can always find a more competitive game. Your contstant bantering and "Whine" comments are pretty damn annoying considering you do not have a dog in that hunt so if you want to keep up with the BS then expect replies from the Cowboy fans.

Irregardless, I am through with the BS about Southern and hope our path NEVER cross again on a football field. We can always find a more competitive game. Your contstant bantering and "Whine" comments are pretty damn annoying considering you do not have a dog in that hunt so ifs you want to keep up with the BS then expect replies from the Cowboy fans.

Funny, I feel the same way about your whining. You still never answered the main question...what good is it to complain about in on here....CONSTANTLY?!?!

If you feel that way fine. Write letters to ADs of both schools. Call their offices. Do something that will matter. But if you want to keep complaining where it will do no good, expect replies from me.:twocents: :twocents:

Hey I will admit it is fun to get under catbob's skin but I'm with Todd, this picture, a "Thane Original" or not, is not real. Me thinks "Thane" is the one that has been jerking the chains.

Off topic,

Just curious, other than looking at the photo, what techniques did you use to evaluate the pic as being altered?

Honestly, I am thrown off by those teams that play in domes. I saw the NDSU and UNI pictures and it confused the hell out of me. At first I thought I was looking at basketball pictures.

Here's a couple since we've brought back football. Have to say best atmosphere was in '03 when McNeese, then No. 1 in the nation, came to town.

I'm rolling bones, writing with chicken blood, poking voodoo dolls and chanting over a boiling cauldron. I'm doing my part :D If the payback doesn't come this year, well :bang:

Good luck to the Lions this week as well!!
