How many teams have put together a 12-game, all DI schedule so far?

Cal Poly is the only one I could find so far.

We're close ... only non D-I is Incarnate Word, who will be joining the SLC in July ... this is their first year of transition so don't count as D-I for playoff purposes. We have one FBS (TCU) and three non-conference FCS on the schedule (SE Missouri, South Dakota State and Samford), in addition to our seven conference games.

Much like the Vikings can scratch wins off the list when they play Montana.

Interestingly, I do not think Richmond has played a Non-D1 team since atleast the 1-A/1-AA split in the late 70's.

Your lips to our ADs desk. I would prefer a drivable BCS game though and hopefully Delaware's new AD will let the boys out to play at a neighbors house occasionally.

That is a very good schedule ... Especially all of the Patriot League games xsmiley_wix

very nice schedule...........nice enough they could have 3-4 L's before the PL gets going. But unlike last year,Colgate does not run the table. The early bye week will cause issues, but the most aggressive schedule by far of any PL schoolxthumbsupx

Most schedules are made a year or 2 in advance. With scholarships you should see most schedules get better, much like the CAA in the East. It's not sour grapes to state a fact, because a good butt whooping is usually just growing pains. Also, don't forget that Colgate IS part of that candy azz schedule !!

The teams with a 12-game all D-1 schedule will have an advantage in making the playoff field.

99 times out of 100:

9-3 will trump 8-3 and 8-4 will beat out 7-4.

Book it.

Economics hasn't changed, though. UD still makes more money playing an all OOC-FCS schedule at home rather than any of them on the road. As long as there are FCS teams willing to come to Newark without a return date, UD will make more money than they would playing a home and home with Lehigh. Who the AD or head coach isn't part of that calculation. If anything, the AD will seek even more money to be made and UD will play more FBS games (rather than 1 every 3 years or so move to play every year). But a new AD wasn't brought in to see how we can play more games in Bethlehem.

Yale and Cornell were the Ivy bottom feeders last season and are not expected to be much better in 2013.

On the other hand, I'm impressed with the other OOC teams there.

Seriously, I'd be pissed if my school had the option to play 12 games & instead only scheduled 11. How does JMU spend all that cash on building 2/3 of a new stadium & then has it sit vacant with not playing a 12th game, at home. Is it really more economically feasible to not have a game??

SBU and UNH are two excellent OOC games. Air Force, while cool, is nothing more than a paycheck and a beating.

Lehigh will schedule FBS games but they're not going to travel 2,000 miles to play them. Every 2 or 3 years I'd expect one of Army, Navy, Temple, UCONN, Rutgers, BC etc. to show up on the schedule.

I really wish Lehigh played a 12 game schedule this year. Even if they added a D2 PSAC team it would look more attractive to the playoff committee imo. Heck, bring in a PFL team to slaughter that way folks will know the difference between the PL and PFL.

The schedule as a whole is better than last year but I'm not sure it's enough to overcome the one less game.

Try being a little less smug: you're a lehigh fan dude lehigh!! NOT Alabama, NOT USC, NOT LSU.....amazing how you think lehigh knows better and is better then EVERYONE else. it's kinda like the mouse floating down the river on his back with a woody and screams for the drawbridge to open!

You get a nice paycheck from VT or UNC. Why did Towson play LSU? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ doesn't always come from home games.

I don't think you're following him. He's saying why only play 11 games when you're allowed to play 12? Even if you bring in some podunk NAIA school, with that many fans coming to the home games you're still making more money than by not playing a game at all.

Understood, I would take a two for one. I just want to see the games played. I would take more CAA games in general. I just want a strong schedule.

But will 8-3 trump 8-4? I ask because it seems like often times opportunities for that 12th game are money games against FBS.

If the 12th game is an FBS and the 4th loss in your scenario I don't think the will be any detriment. Something else will separate those two teams.
