11 players from the subdivision selected, incl. LB Robert McCabe (Georgetown). Congratulations to all the selections.

That's pretty special stuff. When I was younger (a while back) this was the most prestigious of the all star games. Not sure where it ranks now, but it's a wonderful thing that these players get to test themselves against the FBS players. Could be worth a few $$$ down the road.

Not 100% sure why I say this, but I believe the "Senior Bowl" is now the big time college football all-star game.

Congrats to Southeastern Louisiana QB, Nathan Stanley, who is on the East Roster ... he was also selected to play in the Casino Del Sol game this Friday night.

The Senior Bowl is the top game now and the Shrine is considered the #2 game but I'm not sure if players view it as that anymore or if the Shrine just didn't invite the best players it could. there are players in the Raycom, NFLPA, TVN, and Casino Del Sol who belong in the Shrine for sure and some in the Shrine who I would say should be in the 4th or 5th best game.

Maysonet, Gaines, Hughes, Sorensen, and Jared Smith all should be in the Shrine. There are 4-5 FCS players like Kejuan Riley, Brandon Thurmond, Nathan Stanley, and Robiskie, who don't have draftable grades by just about every team and all are considered rejects by many teams I have talked to. Maysonet, Gaines, Hughes, Sorensen, and Smith are all combine invites while none of the others I just mentioned are.

Putting on my homer hat for a second....Earl Watford also has a combine invite.

Not at all. He's a very good player. Everyone on the roster who I did not name fully deserves to be there based on NFL stock for sure. I would be shocked if Watford is not drafted. I expect him to go in the 5th-7th round range.
