Bohl is so gone....xlolx

You take that back!!!

Then again he deserves a shot at the big(ger) time. I don't really buy the big fish, small pond argument of him staying. Another 500 grand a year to move up is pretty good incentive, I know that I would be gone if the right offer came.

Congratulations to Coach Bohl. He is well deserving.

Some of the names on that list had me scratching my head, though.

I'm proud of Conque. Not so much as a homer fan, but because of his record and what he's worked with to get the success he's had.

1. Transitioned a DII team to DI. The logistics are overwhelming.
2. 3 years post season eligible and second round in 2 of them.
3. Approaching 100 wins in his career. Av. 8 wins per season.
4. Two time SLC coach of the year.
5. 98% graduation rate. Highest in SLC and the state of Arkansas.
6. Numerous SLC players of the week, players of the year and even All Americans.
7. 13 years coaching with rotating coordinators and position coaches
8. SLC champions twice. Well, one this year and one best record in 08 during transition from DII.

But looking at some of the names above, I can see why they were ranked higher. Give UCA some time in Division I and maybe if Conque is still around he'll be there.

Congrats to Coach Bohl......he and the Bison lived up to August's expectations.......and Coach Talley a good choice for 2nd......personally I thought Coach Moglia (CCU) should have been somewhere between 7-10.....perhaps one slot ahead of Coach Priore (SBU was expected to do what they did).

Why was Talley even in the conversation, along with the two Big Fluffy coaches both of which have proven nothing? I'd have thought the SHSU coach would be in the top 3 at least.

Coach of the year awards typically don't go to the coach of the best team ,but to the coach of the most improved team. Bill Belichick/Nick Saban would be racking up the awards if it just went to the best team.

What Talley did was take a 2-9 team and turn it into a CAA co-champion, using pretty much the same exact pieces we had last year. That's an impressive bit of coaching there to make a turn around like that. Do I think Talley was the #2 coach this year, no. If he was we get farther than the 1st round of the playoffs. You tend to notice a coach more when they make changes like that. Look at last year, Ambrose won for turning around a god awful Towson program and winning the CAA. Congrats to Bohl, he won it because of 2 fantastic seasons back to back, which is even more impressive.

Baldwin took last year's 6-5 team to 11-3. He also has won a National Championship, so I would say he has proven plenty. And as was mentioned already Nova won 2 games last year and made the playoffs this year. Life must be really hard on you being this dumb.

Not to take anything away from Bohl,
But this award is a FRIGGIN JOKE!!!
For Coach Fritz NOT to Win last year taking the 2011 team in his 2nd year, picked to finish 5th in the Conf.
Go from unranked team in the Polls to #1, and play for a National title , C'MON

and Now. for this year for him not to evern be in the top 20, returning his UNDSEEDED squad BACK to the Natty!

The Eddie Robinson award committe can kiss my TEXAS A$$

Cool man. Sorry that others don't agree with you, but that's a very impressive resume that Fritz has there.

Bohl would look great with a sweater vest and a "Y" coaching hat on pacing the sidelines at the "ICE CASTLE" xbowx

Congrats to Bohl. NDSU can't be the easiest place to recruit to with low population region and weather most of the country doesn't particularly care for. Must be a great developer of talent.

We mostly recruit the dakota's minnesota wisconsin and nebraska. Not really any different than Fargo weather or population wise.

I think it is safe to say that SHSU is one of the "most improved teams". Before Fritz we were a middle of the pack SLC team year in and year out and had only made the playoffs 4 times. In Fritz’s first 3 years the Kats have gone 31-9 and now have back to back NC appearances.

I am not saying he should have one it, but for him to not even be in the top 20 is an absolute joke.

Try having a coach in his third straight semifinal experience after taking over a team with a losing record and has yet to win it and this year he's not even considered in the top 20.

Nice Nova flavor to the awards ceremony.

Andy Talley ( former Robinson award winner) presented award to Coach Bohl and Brian Finneran ( only WR ever to win Payton award) presented to this years winner Taylor Heinecke , and, of coures, congrats to Nova QB John Robertson, winning the Jerry Rice award.
