I'm certainly glad Stony Brook got a bid, but can't say we are more deserving than Towson, who probably got screwed (as did Lehigh imho). However, I would not be surprised if the reason Towson was left out was because all indications are that their coach's antics does not represent the NCAA well. Who would ever want to see him succeed with that behavior? Not me, and probably not anyone on the committee. I'll never understand why some football coaches think the only way to motivate young men is to act like a complete scumbag. This 60 minutes piece did Towson no favors:

Towson wasn't left out because of their coach, they were left out because they were 7-4. There were already 3 CAA teams in the postseason & there's little doubt in my mind that if they had selected a 4th it would've been 8-3 Richmond.

My biggest problem with Towson getting in at 7-4 is that it would have left two 8-3 CAA teams on the sidelines in New Hampshire and Richmond.
