More honors coming for Southeastern Louisiana cornerback Robert Alford as he's named to the Buck Buchanan Award Watch List. It's very possible he'll end up playing in the Senior Bowl and should be Southeastern's first draft pick since resuming football in 2003. xthumbsupxxthumbsupxxthumbsupx

Well deserved and long overdue credit for a great player!

I'm glad to see the improvement out of Lions this year. A lot of young talent on that team. I consider SELA/UCA/NW (and sometimes SFA) the good guys of the SLC and I always root for them when not playing SHSU.

Appreciate it. We do have a lot of good young players and feel like the best is yet to come under the new coaching staff. We got hit by a Mack truck against the Bearkats but very pleased that we were able to shake it off and bounce back with a great effort vs SFA.

I like to think of everybody in the SLC as "good guys" except when the Lions are playing ... we're much better off when everybody wins IMO, though I know what you mean! :)

we can all admit we hate Lamar. Their only use in conference is an easy W..oops..sorry Nicholls fan..

Congrats to Alford. Much deserved and a great player

The pick he had last Saturday vs Stephen F. Austin may have been equally as impressive ... the video panned in late and couldn't really see it but he made another one-handed catch while being yanked down from behind by the SFA WR ... his ball skills are incredible!
