Normally I'd add on record vs others on the list (except underlined) & FBS but busy day at work today, so unlikely.

I think this year will reveal a lot about what the committee thinks is important (# of wins, # of losses, FBS games, DIV II games, record vs 7+ win opp).

Div II wins are thrown out by rule. Div II losses put you in serious jeopardy of being thrown out of consideration yourself. FBS wins are looked on favorably, FBS losses are seen as losses to teams at or above the top of the subdivision.

I know Div II wins don't count (other than losing the opportunity for another FCS win).

But I'm thinking about where various qualities intersect. Are more wins important or less losses? How much more does a FBS win count, how much less a FBS loss (some say none other than the loss opportunity for a FCS win)?

Hypothetically, is 7-3 with an FBS win, and 3 FCS losses better or worse than 8-3 with 1 FBS & 2 FCS losses? That's not a real resume but it seems there will be quite a variety of resumes available for the last few spots this year.

The guidelines say that more consideration MAY be given to teams that play an all DI schedule. Obviously the more important criteria is a balance of SoS and W-L. There are 10 win teams that get left out over 7 win teams. (Sometimes...this year the threshold will be 8, IMO)

That's where SoS kicks in...I consider SHSU an outlier, and I think Wofford's in trouble.

I really can't tell what their SOS will be after South Carolina. I'm leaning more in then out but not sure either way.
