With the playoff commitee looking at division I wins, what are the teams that can possibly reach that number?
I'll start with the only the SLC member. Please add to the list:

1. UCA- Could win out and be 9-2 with 8 division I wins.

2. ODU- Needs to win 2 out of 4 games left to get to 8-3 with 8 division 1 wins.
3.

Georgia Southern can get to 9 with wins over Chat, App. St., and Howard. Also, play UGA, so could technically get to 10.

Maybe I should have rephrased it as who will have MORE than 8 division I wins. xlolx

Wofford can, if we win our last 3 SoCon games against The Citadel, Samford, and Chattanooga...it's doable.

That would get us 8 D-1 wins. We could get 9 if we beat South Carolina (It would be nice to see EB outrush Marcus Lattimore). :)

I was just curious to see how many teams could realistically make the playoffs. I know 11, 10,9, and 8 win teams have a much better chance than a 7 win team. Looking at that list if you knock off the autobids and all you have left are the 8+ division I win teams...that's the pool the committee will have to look at.

I'll tell you why I ask this question: IF SFA wins out they will get the autobid with 6 division I wins. That leaves up several SLC teams with 8 or 7 wins. I was wondering how the rest of the country was looking minus the most likely autobids. Look at the teams schedule and realistically decide if they can win out/or need to win out to get 8+ division I wins. UCA can but AGS can happen of course. This is all theoretical of course.

We can get 8 FCS victories. Our record is 5-2, but we only have four FCS victories currently. In order to get eight FCS victories, our Howard Bison must win all of our final four games, which would include a victory in Statesboro against #2 Georgia Southern.

Our losses are versus FBS Rutgers (26-0), and a HORRIBLE loss versus NC A&T (38-10).

Fantastic Amsterbison! Now knock out the likely autobids. Then knock out the one who don't participate..who do you have left?

Sam can only get 7 D-I wins if I remember correctly.

Well, people are probably saying that the BearKats can only get to 7 wins because they play Texas A&M to finish their season, but technically they can still get to 8.

Refresh my memory, which conferences don't participate in the FCS playoffs? Ivy and SWAC? And the Pioneer teams are all out of the playoff hunt from the looks of things.

Yes to the 3 conferences who won't be participating in the play-offs.

Ooh...I just assumed Sam would lose to Texas A&M....but who knows......;)

If they do beat Texas A&M..then the commitee HAS to put 3 SLC teams in it... if it goes that way.

Now to figure out the possibilities! xlolx

So 48...
less 10 AQ = 38...
less 6 IVY/SWAC = 32...
less 3 PFL that aren't getting in with 8 wins = 29...

leaves probably...
2 that can have 10
11 that can have 9 including 2 OVC, 1 PL, 1 NEC
16 that can have 8 including 3 MEAC, 2 OVC, 1 PL, 1 NEC

The rest are SoCon, CAA, MVFC, BSC, & SL
